    “The house is very spacious and the kitchen is very well stocked.”

    The two dishwashers and large fridge were great for our large family. The beds were comfortable and linen is lovely quality. It really needed a proper clean as the carpets were thick with dust, we also found toenail clippings on the carpets and bathroom and sticky marks were found on the bedside tables. It was also disappointing to have to lift 3 bags of dog poo from the garden after discovering the kids had dragged some indoors. We arrived to find the curtain in the main bedroom broken and ...

We arrived to find the curtain in the main bedroom broken and although this was fixed the next day we weren’t informed before our arrival of this so we could be prepared with extra eye masks. Overall we had a lovely stay, just needs a better cleaner but the property was ideal for us.

    It was unfortunate the way previous guests had left the house and with only hours to sort out the problems on a changeover day, we ultimately fell short. The cleaning issues are being dealt with I promise you that. However It is reassuring that you enjoyed the facilities and your stay overall. The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
