Im torn with this review.

In general Whimhowe is large and very accommodating to a large party with two onsuites as well a family bathroom and additional toilet and lots of room. My issue was the heating was unreliable ( cold bathrooms, mold onlong bottom of bath). With 2 calls to Sykes & a WhatsApp from the owner, the issue was not resolved at time of leaving. The rear of the property also looked like a building site.

A well equipped cottage - probably the best we have stayed in.

Clean. Great for all ages other than the walk up the hill from Bowness for those that are not as fit as they once were or with very young ones. Walking from Windermere is ok but its a slog walking all the way up from Bowness after an evening meal and an energetic day. Don't let that put you off though, as the positives outweigh the one downside. There were plenty of eating out options in Windermere (and Bowness) in the summer when we stayed.

Really lovely and spacious property with the most incredible views.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Lots of parking and walkable into Windermere. We had a wonderful week at Whimhowe, thank you!
