    “We stayed for 4 nights in Frost & it was absolutely perfect!”

    The property itself was stunning, a balcony right by the water where you can sit & watch nature was just what we needed! It's a 30 second drive off the car ferry from Windermere but if the Ferry is closed for weather which it was twice while we were there, you can just drive round instead. There was a little welcome Hamper for us including the most delicious jam I have ever tasted, just had to go to Hawkshead on our way home to get some more! I would recommend staying here to anyone, we stayed ...

This lovely set of seven cottages rest in the village of Far Sawrey, close to Hawkshead and Bowness. Hawkshead 3.9 miles; Bowness (via ferry) 1.5 miles.

The village of Far Sawrey has a pub/restaurant, whilst Bowness, with all its shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, is just a short distance across the lake by ferry. Also close by is ‘Hill Top’, once the home of Beatrix Potter, and Hawkshead with its picturesque 17th century cottages. Footpaths lead from the grounds to the village and Claife Heights - a noted beauty spot of forests and tarns. Watersports are close at hand on Windermere, along with Lake Cruises and the majestic Wray Castle to admire. Fishing can be enjoyed on nearby Esthwaite Water and, of course, fell walking.
