“On arrival, we found that the Pearsall accommodation was not the one featured in the listing image.”
Initially, the rooms appeared clean and the kitchen and bathroom had been cleaned well. However, we found that the rest of the property was dusty underfoot and in the corners of the rooms and the living area rug was badly in need of vacuuming. Unlike some of the others properties on the row, which are all similar in design, the plant cupboard was locked so there was no access to sweeping brushes, vacuum cleaners or the iron and ironing board.

The kettle was so badly limescaled it had to be replaced. A periodic treatment with descaler or vinegar would prevent this.
We found the £200 implied maintenance charge mentioned in the listing somewhat intimidating. Several items of inventory were already damaged or missing on our arrival, evidently not often checked.
Some of the fittings in the bath/ shower need some maintenance - hot water shower regulator and bath plug system.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay here. Not been able to clean up and that the accommodation floors and corners of rooms not being vacuumed was an irritation, though. These things wouldn't prevent us from staying at the Ferry Landing again. These are really nice properties and ideally situated for walks and visiting the South Lakes area.
