The property

Magical Lakeland converted barns don't come better than this, occupying a sublime setting with simply breathtaking views in every direction towards Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells. Words can't truly describe the magic of this setting high above the tiny hamlet of Rydal with panoramic views in all directions - here the mountains appear so close you can almost reach out and touch them. Step inside and see for yourself how the charm of a traditional Lakeland slate barn can blend so effortlessly with 21st century luxury accommodation. This is a place to relax, rejuvenate and spend precious time together. A short drive or beautiful walk will lead you into either the village of Ambleside or a little further passing Rydal Water into Grasmere. Grasmere itself is stocked with great eateries, tea rooms and shops and if you like picturesque high and low level walks, this is a walker's paradise. Enchanting 'Hart Head Barn' has all the ingredients to provide the perfect Lake District holiday, one you will only want to repeat and with a view you will never forget. == Accommodation in detail Park right outside this magnificent barn and enter round the back where there is a beautiful patio garden (non-lawned) complete with a luxury hot tub and contemporary rattan furniture. About the location

Ambleside 1.6 miles; Grasmere 2.7 miles.

Lying to the north of Ambleside and Windermere, Rydal is a charming unspoilt village full of history and which has changed little in the last two hundred years. Rydal Water with its shoreline walks adds an extra tranquillity to the location, which is one of the central most points of the Lake District. Home to William Wordsworth for some years there are many walks spreading out from Rydal with spectacular views. Wander along hillside paths to Grasmere, or up the impressive Rydal Fell and Nab Scar with fantastic scenery spanning as far as the hills on the west coast on a clear day. Or stroll through Rydal Park with its ancient and magnificent trees, past the thunderous waterfalls, revered by Wordsworth, and on to Ambleside with its numerous shops, restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes. Only a short drive away is Windermere with its water sports and boat cruises on Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake.

Please note that misuse of the hot tub, including using the hot tub with fake tan or body lotion on can damage the product and as such will lead to a surcharge of £100.00, debited from the Good Housekeeping Bond for additional cleaning.

Please note: no pets or smoking in this property.
