The property was on a very busy main road which wasn't stated And my sister found it very hard to sleep Also the living room sofas were so incredibly uncomfortable as one was a sofa bed And we found the dining table and chairs absolutely so not comfy as they must be at least 50 years old we couldn't sit around the table to enjoy a meal

Hello Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback on your stay with us. We are sorry that your stay wasn't as enjoyable as you would have liked. As seen in the photographs of the property, the house is situated on a well used road, however thus far we have had no complaints of extreme noise, enough to disturb guests sleep. The photographs also include the living area with the sofa bed pictured, and being an option for larger sized parties/ guests with mobility issues has been a well appreciated asset. Our beautiful dining table has been host to over 224 guests and has been ideal for hosting larger guest sizes comfortably, and with reference to your comment, yes, it is over 50 years old. It was chosen as it is a beloved family piece and is in keeping with the age and period of the property. We understand this may not be to every guests taste. Our stay at Keekle Terrace was the perfect location for us.

Our weeks break plan was to tick off the Wainwright Western Fells. The car parking at National Trust Maggie’s Bridge at Loweswater was just under 30mins drive, perfect spot many of the Wainwright Fells. Also, nearby National Trust car park at Buttermere, Crummock Water parking and parking along Waswater was very accessible from Keekle Terrace. The property itself was amazingly spacious inside. I loved the loft bedroom with its own en-suite. The kitchen was well equipped. Dining room with large table a great eating place after a day in the fells, sharing the highs and lows of the day. The garden, which seemed endless, was a beautiful spot in the evenings watching the swifts hunting over the moors at the back and then the sun setting. Car parking was possible at the front if the house although the free car park just up the hill on the right was easier, always plenty of parking spaces.

We are so glad you managed to take full advantage of the unique location regards accessing many of the various Wainwright trails that are local to the area as well as its proximity to so many other great local attractions. We find that many of our guests find something varied and interesting to do both locally or in the vicinity making Keekle Terrace an amazing base to explore from or simply chill and enjoy the countryside environment. Absolutely gorgeous home with all you need for a great base camp when exploring the lakes.

Extra bonus is the keekle Inn who serve the best pizzas just 2 seconds up the road.
