The Carus Green Penthouse is the penthouse suite of four apartments that are located on the edge of the golf course and offer stunning views of the course and the surrounding countryside. This architect designed luxury apartment offers high quality accommodation, for family and friends. Presented with a welcoming, open plan, lounge, kitchen/dinner a choice of four bedrooms one with dressing room and ensuite facilities, three balconies and all beautifully furnished.
In addition to the excellent golf facilities on site which includes a driving range, training academy and well stocked shop. The club house with its popular bar and restaurant offers meals, snack and drinks throughout the day. Carus Green offers easy access to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales making it an ideal base for those who want to explore by car, bike, on foot or, of course, by golf buggy!
Accommodation In Detail
From the parking space the front door opens to a smart communal hallway and stairs lead to the first floor and the entrance to The Penthouse. As guests step through the door the hall way runs through the property. The open plan lounge, kitchen/diner is bright and airy and beautifully furnished. A large corner sofa is arranged in front of the large screen TV with sound bar and patio doors open to the balcony that over looks the first tee of the golf course. A large family dining room is the ideal spot to gather in the evening over dinner or for family friendly breakfasts and on summer afternoons open the patio doors and step out onto the terrace balcony with outdoor dining furniture.
On the top floor is the superb master bedroom suite which can be presented with a choice of superking or 3’ twin beds, a dressing room and ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, basin and WC. Across the landing is a pretty single bedroom. Back on the 1st floor, there are two further bedrooms, both can be presented with a choice of king size bed or 2’6” twin beds and they are complemented by an ensuite shower room with walk in shower, basin and WC. (Please specify your choice of bed arrangements when booking to ensure the bedrooms are correctly presented on your arrival).
Private parking is available for two cars with additional parking available in the members parking of the golf club.
Teeing - Off in the Lake District........The 18 hole course is designed around the natural watercourses of the rivers Kent, Spint and Mint and the fells of the Lake District National Park and offers a challenging parkland course in addition to driving range, golf academy and golf shop. All guests are available to use the facilities and preferential rates are available during your stay. Complementary use of the club house is available to guests and their visitors and the bars and restaurant (serving food throughout the day) offers expansive views across the course and the surrounding countryside.
Located only five 5 minutes from Kendal and only fifteen minutes from either the Lake District or the Yorkshire Dales you'll find something for everyone. The Lyth Valley is located to the east of Lake Windermere, overlooked by the famous Lake District walks on Scout Scar and Whitbarrow Scar. The sheltered valley is famous for its damson orchards, which give rise to gorgeous white blossom in spring.
The landscapes are scattered with country homes and rural Lake District cottages, as well as a choice of several acclaimed Lake District country pubs, such as The Punch Bowl at Crosthwaite and the Mason's Arms at Strawberry Bank. A romantic walk nearby is the ascent of Gummers How, which offers simply wonderful views of Lake Windermere from the top. The Cartmel Fell tarns walk is also a lovely afternoon's worth, starting at Bowland Bridge's historic church.
The popular foodie villages of Cartmel and Kirkby Lonsdale are both within easy reach offering fine local artisan foods and award winning restaurants.
Cross the valley and you are into the Yorkshire Dales and the Pennines with beautiful villages, rolling moors and cascading waterfalls.

Its old cobbled lanes and byways branch off the attractive main street, and the stone ruins of 12th century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town. Visit The Abbot Hall Art Gallery, its regular collection holding portraits by Kendal born George Romney and works by Turner and Ruskin, with other exhibitions through its links with the Tate. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its superb Topiary Garden are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay. Kendal itself is ideally placed for exploring South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.
