“Had a lovely 4 week stay here.”

Host was excellent. Beautiful cottage with outstanding views. Have stayed in cottages over the other side of Backbarrow and they just don’t compare. Will be staying again soon

About the location

NEWBY BRIDGE

Bowness-on-Windermere 8 miles.

The small village of Newby Bridge takes its name from the five arched stone bridge built in 1651 over the River Leven. The famous Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge.
