“Every year my friend and I book a week away to basically relax and do nothing.”

We always book a place with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms so 1 Park Nook Close looked ideal. Unfortunately the shower over the bath wasn’t functioning which meant we were both sharing the en-suite shower. Not a huge problem, especially as there was only one bath mat between two bathrooms, but not what we booked. I’d seen previous comments about the TV and internet but after a trip to the shop to buy batteries the TV worked with no issues. The internet dipped a couple of times but was fine. The kitchen was really well equipped for cooking but the small things were missing like a dish cloth/sponge, kitchen roll, tin foil and soap. Again a trip to the shop fixed that. We also had to buy toilet roll fairly quickly as the en-suite was left with enough for the first night only. There was also no hand soap in either bathroom. The property was really clean and the living room and en-suite shower have obviously been upgraded since the pics on the listing. I hope the next step is to upgrade the mattress on the double bed and the bathroom. An instruction book for guests would also be useful with the usual bin, checkout, local area info as well as guides for appliances as I’m sure some people would complain less about the TV if they could work it. Despite these issues this property was good value for money. If things were improved and a welcome pack was left (no milk after a long journey was a sore one, luckily we had gin) I’d happily pay more for a return visit.
