Wonderful house in a great location.

Lots of space inside and out. Parking for at least 3 cars

This was an excellent property for a family get together to celebrate a significant birthday.

Plenty of room for the seven adults and four children and dog. All bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen / living room also accommodated us all easily. Clean, and all facilities provided, in fact we requested a BBQ, and a new, high quality charcoal BBQ was provided. Large garden provided outdoor space for the children and adults to play games. There's a nice walk over the fields to Levens Hall where you can use the cafe without having to pay for entry to the estate. Sizergh Castle also not far away (didn't go there as we went last year). We went to the Lakeland Maze Farm which provided a great day out for both children and adults alike.

This is an amazing property.

The outside photos do not do this justice. The location is perfect, garden is amazing and we could not fault the property inside. The kitchen had everything we needed and separate large utility and cloakrooms were a bonus. Bedrooms are very comfortable, two of them quite large. Excellent showers. It was excellent and I hope we will be back.

The property is very will furnished and equipped other than a potato peeler this is the only thing this property has missing!

We would stay here again. Beautiful house, beautiful setting. Loads of games to play for wet days. Very clean and tidy and perfectly decorated.

A wonderful property that was warm comfortable and well equipped.

The ability to have the double beds made into singles was tremendous facility.

We enjoyed our stay very much, and the comfort and facilities of the Gate House were second to none, we would happily stay here again.

This is a really lovely property for a large family group.

Large rooms and had a very well kitted out kitchen. Its local to Kendal where you can get a food shop and takeaway. Leven deer park is a lovely walk. Property also had a Christmas tree as we stayed over New Years Eve.

We had a lovely long weekend at The Gatehouse celebrating a family birthday.

It was perfect for us with small children with there being no stairs. It was very spacious and the living area is such a good social room being open plan, so we were all still together whether cooking or watching tv. Well equipped kitchen and lots of games to entertain the kids. Brilliant weekend had be all.

A lovely house, comfortable and warm.

It isn't easy walking distance from any pubs (this is a bit misleading in the description) but we used uber successfully. A few very minor snags (no dish brush or cloth, ice cube trays broken, and some of the furniture a little tired). We had a great stay and otherwise found the kitchen well equipped. The owner left tea, coffee, bottled water and milk which was much appreciated (plus some nice biscuits and things). It would be great to have salt, pepper and olive oil too... The showers were excellent! Lovely walk in the nearby park.

Great property to rent for family and friend groups.

In walking distance of the local pub. Surrounded by beautiful limestone coast wetlands and woods :)

The accommodation was in a peaceful location and beds were very comfortable enabling very restful sleep.

The bedrooms, bathrooms, lounge and kitchen were all excellent. The separate utility room provided a room to keep our dog for the evening and night, while placed in his crate. The separate drinks fridge was very useful. The only minor criticisms, a few more mugs for drinks, perhaps some larger pans would be useful if self catering there for a large group, as we did several evenings, and sometimes the shower was not warm enough.

They house is amazing, the kids enjoyed their bedroom as well as the grown ups. The house had any facility necessary and it is in a convenient location. Very peaceful and quiet. We would definitely come back again. Many thanks for a lovely stay.
