“Lovely cottage very comfortable, beautiful view from the garden which we enjoyed on the first evening.”

Kitchen very well equipped, comfy beds and great shower. Great location within easy reach of many of the main sites for the Lakes, plus the coast not too far away either!

Snuggle up with your loved ones and watch TV after a long day of discovering the local area as the woodburning stove creates a gentle ambiance throughout the space.

Why not escape to the snug where you will find three occasional chairs and a feature fireplace where you can indulge with a good book and a cup of tea away from the group.

As the evening grows darker, head upstairs to the bedrooms to rest your eyes ahead of another adventurous day; the first-floor is home to three bedrooms fit with plenty of storage so you can settle in and unpack your belongings.

One double bedroom and one kingsize bedroom with neutral décor and quaint chairs so you can enjoy the superb views from the windows, while the remaining twin room with garden views offers two single beds with a zip/link feature for a flexible sleeping arrangement for varying party makeups.

Completing the first floor is a family bathroom with underfloor heating, fit with a bath, shower over, a heated towel rail and a WC, where you can pamper yourself with bubble bath to relax and unwind.

Back on the ground floor, you will find a handy shower room with underfloor heating, complete with a walk-in shower, a basin, another heated towel rail to keep your towels toasty and a WC, so you will not be short of spaces for the group to freshen up and prepare for an action-packed day of exploring.

The area has plenty of attractions to offer throughout your trip such as the Haverthwaite Railway, hosting a historic steam train which runs from Haverthwaite to Lakeside Station, ideal for all ages to soak up the breath-taking scenery of the Lake District.

Spend the day at the nearby Windermere Lake, where you can take cruises and boat rides over England's largest lake, or perhaps take part in some watersport activities such as kayaking over the tranquil waters.

Cartmel is the nearest lively village from this property and offers quintessentially Cumbrian shops, cafés and inns so you can stop for a bite to eat between activities.

The narrow winding streets offer a certain charm difficult to find elsewhere, not to mention the magnificent architecture of the Cartmel Priory, which is still an integral part of the village's culture.

Racing enthusiasts will enjoy the convenient location of the cottage in relation to Cartmel Racecourse; started by the monks of Cartmel Priory in the 12th century, this historic racecourse is still a popular track amongst tourists and professionals.
