Great cottage clean, tidy, spacious & well appointed.

It was a luxury having 3 toilets & 2 shower/bathrooms we could all get ready at the same time suiting families & couples. Lovely views front & back. Enjoyed the wood burner a couple of evenings & the hot tub is a nice way to relax muscles after a day out walking. Very impressed with welcome goodies, we had a lovely break away. Thank you.

We had a fantastic week at Lime cottage, it was well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday.

Lyndsey was on hand when we arrived to show us how everything worked she was so welcoming and friendly. There was a lovely basket of goodies left for us which we enjoyed. The views where gorgeous with lots to do and see nearby. We loved it Thank you.

This was a high quality accommodation furnished to a high standard very quiet location with x2 spaces for car parking.

Great location for visiting the lakes along with nice features such as a welcome pack of treats and a hot tub.

Lime Cottage was superb!

Exceptionally clean with everything you could possibly need. In an impressive location and the manager Lyndsey was excellent. She was available if needed. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and she gave us some wonderful advice on places to eat. A short break, too short but we will definitely be back.

This is one of the nicest holiday cottages we have stayed in - lovely location and views, and very comfortable & warm.

It was well equipped (though a sturdy breadboard would have been useful - we couldn't find one?). The ground floor shower wasn't very powerful (I wouldn't have tried washing my hair) & one lavatory didn't seem to have been cleaned when we arrived, but that was easily rectified. We appreciated the generous welcome basket & overall really enjoyed our stay - thank you.

Excellent as usual and first class. We had an issue with the washing machine that was sorted straight away. Always sad to leave but we will be back.

Rented this cottage with my 2 sons and we all absolutely loved it!

The hot tub was a god send when we had two very wet days preventing us from going out and exploring. The inclusion of outdoor towels and flip flops for going out to the hot tub was very thoughtful. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms, all done to a very high standard. We would definitely use again if we travel back to the Lakes.

Excellent property well equipped comfortable and clean and had everything you needed to have a great holiday based in a beautiful part of the country.

It's a great cottage in a great location, that you can use as a base to anywhere in the Lake District.

The cottage itself is lovely and is well thought out. On arrival, the owner left us some snacks, butter and milk, which we really appreciated after a long drive. I would have given this cottage 5 stars if it were not for the very noisy bathroom tap, which sometimes could be heard from outside of the cottage, and on one or two nights, kept us awake. The owner has promised to fix the tap, just not in time for our stay. But don't let this put you off, it really is a fantastic place to stay, and the hot tub was to die for. I'm sure the tap will be fixed, sooner or later.

We had a lovely stay in Lime Cottage - our first visit to the Lake District.

The cottage was clean and very comfortable and well equipped and a lovely welcome basket with all the essentials for the first day or two. Incredibly peaceful and in a beautiful location, very tastefully decorated. Good access to all areas of the Lake District. Thoroughly recommend Lime Cottage!

The location of Lime Cottage is easily accessible from A590 with being far enough away from any road noise.

On arrival we were welcomed with a tray of traditional biscuits, luxurious jams and bread. Milk, butter, tea bags and sugar were provided too. The surrounding grounds are well maintained, and you can see immediately this collection of properties are very well cared for. Beautifully furnished and decorated mixing modern decor with traditional wood features. You can see huge thought and time has went into making this house luxurious and a very relaxing place to stay. All you can hear are birds tweeting and the courtyard fountain! We have been visiting the Lake District for many years and have been lucky to stay in some nice places but this tops them all and we will be returning for sure! Linsay was a pleasure to deal with - thanks once again! The kids loved the hot tub (and we did too!) Flip flops and towels were provided, another nice touch. I very rarely write reviews, but felt this stay was our favourite, that I needed to write one. 6 out of 5 stars from us! The Taylor Family

Everything was perfect when we arrived, the cottage was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed.

The host was very accommodating, she left us a basket of food which was great as we had a long drive and were hungry on arrival. We will definitely be returning!

Perfect setting, within reach of lovely walks.

Beautiful accommodation with fantastic equipment provided. Fab weekend retreat . Our sat nav did take us on a very narrow route which was also the recommended route for Lime cottage….. We used a different route, using the B5278 which we were happier with (further but wider) then turning at Clock Tower which was so much better.

A wonderful idyllic place to stay, surrounded by beautiful scenery.

The cottage had everything and more, luxury feel with all the creature comforts. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Lime Cottage!

The hosts were fantastic when we needed the heating changing to make sure the baby was comfortable! The cottage had everything we needed, was comfortable, a great location and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch! The cottage was clean, but there were some rather large cobwebs in the upstairs bedroom which were not hard to miss. Overall, we had a fantastic first family holiday with our 6 month old in Lime Cottage!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

The bed was very comfortable and all linen provided was good quality and clean. The washing machine was a bit musty so we didn’t use it. The hot tub and garden furniture were great.

Everything that was listed was correct The place is beautiful and communication was excellent Only thing is that the local pub is know shut so maybe people should be aware of that before booking

Our first trip to the Lake District was amazing!

Lime Cottage was the perfect location and so peaceful. It had amazing facilities, the hot tub was so good to have after long days of hiking and walking! The cottage was spotless and we loved the decor inside. We will be recommending to friends and family and would love to come back and stay in the future!

Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended!

Stayed for 7 nights across the Christmas period and loved every minute. The location is ideal with great views (and walks) and Lime Cottage is near the best holiday let we have stayed in. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, well maintained hot tub and great Christmas touches including personalised gifts under the tree! Lynsey and the team were beyond helpful and couldn't have done more to make our stay 10*. Really handy to have logs for the log burner on site, saves having to leave the estate! Thanks so much!

Great location for the south Lakes.

Cottage equipped to a very good standard. On site help with any queries. The cottage was very warm and comfortable and plenty of walking sightseeing in the area.

My sister and I had a truly wonderful time.

Unfortunately there was a problem with the hot tub after our first night there but it didn't dampen our enjoyment of this truly beautiful place. stunning surroundings and the facilities were amazing. We would and will be returning without a doubt!

The cottage was beautiful - clean and well equipped.

It was lovely to have a few items already in the cottage such as coffee, bread, milk, butter, eggs and Prosecco. The kitchen was really well thought out and had more than we have ever seen in the self catering cottages we have previously stayed in. It was peaceful on the estate, and everywhere we wanted to go was within an hour’s drive. The only thing was the pillows were very flat and soft but I didn’t get round to asking Lynsey for different ones - I am sure if I had she would have been able to provide them.

The cottage was wonderful for our 1 year old daughter surrounded by open spaces and animals she absolutely loved it.

The hot tub provided a welcomed parent break. Overall the facilities were absolutely wonderful and we are already looking to return at Christmas time. Thank you for a wonderful break. Highly recommend Cumbria zoo!

The cottage is perfectly equipped for all you need with some thoughtful touches in providing provisions and essential cleaning and kitchen items.

The complex is well maintained with a stunning view.

Location was beautiful!

Lovely facilities and nice touch with the welcome food and drink and cleaning kit.

Only slight snag we had was pillows were all very soft and not everyone gets on with duck/down pillows and duvets. Perhaps alternative pillows to be kept in the wardrobe. Overall lovely facilities and hot tub under the stars was great. Lovely fireplace Although felt having to pay for more wood etc would be a little tight if we were in the colder months but luckily this was enough for our stay. Lovely situation and would stay again (but would bring own pillows)

Have stayed in another cottage on this site both excellent quality and very comfortable.

The cottage is amazing.

Beautiful surroundings and great facilities. We were lucky with the weather so spent a fair bit of time in the garden and the hot tub which was fabulous. The cottage has everything you could ever need, the beds etc were really comfortable and showers were good. If there was one tiny niggle it would be that it’s difficult to control the temperature with the underfloor heating. Downstairs was boiling while upstairs was much more comfortable. Loved it though. Will definitely go back.

Lovely week spent in the Lakes, cottage was excellent just a few minor issues, not enough pans for 4 people or rather not big enough pans, and armchairs not comfortable so we were fighting over the sofa

Lime Cottage was a gorgeous place and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there!

We stayed there with our 2 children who really enjoyed the hot tub! Everything we needed was there including a welcome basket with bread, eggs, jam and prosecco. There was shampoo and shower gel in both bathrooms as well as a hairdryer, which was really handy. The owners were really nice and welcoming. We look forward to going back up there and definitely recommend the place!

The cottage gave us real comfort, actually all our needs were met.

Smart Tv's kept our young ones occupied by following there favourite programmes. Location was just fabulous perched on top with great views. We really enjoyed the complimentary jams, eggs, freshly baked bread and the Prosecco. Thank you.

Absolutely Fabulous Cottage.

Had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Everything was to an exceptionally high standard. The Management Staff were also extremely helpful. We have already re-booked to return in the future.

Myself & three friends stayed at Lime Cottage for my 30th birthday.

We had an absolutely fantastic time. Even though the weather wasn't great we still enjoyed using the hot tub & had a lovely walk. The cottage has been finished to an exceptional standard and feels luxurious to be in. The owners have thought of everything - the free welcome basket & accompanying bottle of prosecco was very thoughtful. I will definitely be back for more visits in the future.

The cottage was in immaculate condition and felt extremely cosy and welcoming. The hot tub was the cherry on a cake. Great location for short walks to nearby restaurants and beautiful countryside. We will be definitely be returning to this beautiful place.

I took my partner away for our first holiday together and it made a perfect base to explore the lakes, whilst also being somewhere very relaxing and comfortable to spend our time when the weather was bad. We will definitely be returning to this cottage as it made our time away extremely special.

What lovely accommodation, everything was spotless, well equipped & furnished.

The rooms are huge, warm & welcoming after long walks by the sea or in the countryside. Having your own paddock to keep your dog or children safe is a great bonus . The house is charming, & has an atmosphere of calm, which did me a world of good. Loved every moment of our holiday

I booked the cottage for the weekend as a surprise for our first wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect.

The pictures don't do justice to the gorgeous property which was everything we asked for and more. Thank you so much, we had an incredible weekend and would love to stay again, probably with friends or family as there is more than enough room. Can't recommend highly enough - thank you!!
