“The cottage was almost perfect.”
The cottage was beautiful, the facilities excellent, location perfect, lovely comfortable bed, lots of clean towels, hot tub an absolute treat, as was the bottle of wine, milk, tea/coffee etc. Plenty of DVDs, books, magazines to choose from, lots of local information.
However note of caution, we chose this cottage as it said no pets and I have a severe allergy to cats. Unfortunately we were plagued by 3 cats. The weather was glorious but we were unable to open windows and the patio doors as the 3 cats would come in. My poor husband spent half the time shooing cats away on what was a much needed break and celebration. We lost count how many times he had to get out of the hot tub, to shoo them away (including trying to curl up in the towels). We struggled to eat our evening meals on the patio as they kept brushing themselves against us and the furniture. In a morning we would open the curtains to the patio door and they would be sat waiting to come in and it was a challenge to get out of the cottage without at least one of them slipping in. I cannot go within 6 feet of a cat, and I had 3 to keep away from.
An absolute gem of a cottage if you aren't allergic to cats.
