Park your car in one of the two parking spaces beside the property,and head up the set of steps onto the decking, where you will find the entrance.

Step inside the property into a small porch, where you can hang your coats and kick off your walking boots, before moving into the bright and airy open-plan living space.

The galley-style kitchen provides ample worktop space to prepare ingredients, as well as a host of useful appliances to enable you to whip up delicious meals for your loved one, which you can enjoy together at the intimate dining table for two, before moving to the reclining leather sofa and kicking back beside the warming electric fire with a glass of wine and your favourite show on the TV.

Retire to the king-size double bedroom to catch up on rest, beautifully presented and stylishly furnished to provide a calming and relaxing space with gorgeous Egyptian cotton bedding.

The contemporary shower room allows you to prepare for each day with a rejuvenating rinse, while the heated towel rail warms up your towels and provides additional comfort.

Spend your morning on the patio, admiring the peaceful woodland area as you enjoy a cup of coffee, before heading out to explore the surroundings.

The Woodlands Hotel is close by with a pub, where you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy a glass of wine or refreshing pint after a long day of walking.

The Cumbrian Way goes past Woodland Lodge, with cycle ways also close by.

Head to the charming Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands, situated between the fells of the Lake District and Morecambe Bay, and stroll along the delightful promenade, while the ornamental gardens provide a beautiful backdrop for a picnic.

There are two golf clubs to choose from, one only 5 minutes away, should you wish to practice your swing, along with a range of shops to explore and a selection of friendly pubs.

Nearby Cartmel offers a fantastic day out at its racecourse, which hosts several events throughout the year, Holker Hall boasts 200 acres of gardens, woodland and even a deer park, and you can round off a special day with a romantic meal at L'Enclume, which has been voted one of the best restaurants in the UK.

Explore the surroundings from the comfort of a vintage train carriage with a scenic trip on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, a three-mile journey through the countryside, and head to the Lakeland Motor Museum to see its exhibits.

Windermere and its iconic lake are within easy reach, offering visitors an array of gardens, shopping and entertainment facilities, and superb attractions, including Brockhole and Fell Foot Park, where you can hire a rowing boat and enjoy a picnic in the sunshine.

The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay and offers one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a fashionable Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere (8 miles), the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many, and the home of sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel, with its famous racecourse and the L’Enclume restaurant, which has been voted the 4th best restaurant in the UK. Other attractions in the area include Levens Hall, with its Elizabethan Hall and world famous topiary gardens, Holker Hall, Furness Abbey, Sizergh Castle, a National Trust medieval house and gardens, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house.
