“Nice place on a well maintained complex of similar properties.”
I agree with a previous review that it definitely needs coat hooks as you walk in; no where to hang your wet outdoor gear. Small kitchen, as expected. Very spacious bedroom. Mattress was comfy but the pillows and duvet were flat, and I didn’t like the lacy cover and pillow cases, bit old fashioned. You can’t beat feather pillows and 100% crisp, white cotton bedding. I couldn’t get the shower to work, but there is plenty of hot water for a deep bath, although it takes a while to fill. The handheld shower attachment to the bath has barely any pressure, just a trickle. I didn’t particularly notice the noise from the trains, however, the road seems to have loud vehicles very early in the mornings. The overall decor isn’t to my preference, but I knew what to expect from the photos. I attempted to walk to the local village/shops, but it was unpleasant cause there are no pavements, however, this is expected in the countryside. Overall it was a pleasant stay. I enjoyed sitting in the conservatory with a glass of wine in the late afternoons.
