Loved this cottage warm and welcoming nice touch a bottle of fizz for new years eve .

Well equipped ,great location, lovley walks straight out of the door. when the toaster broke replacement sorted asap.only complaint on the cleanliness, needs pillow protectors, second bedroom multiple dog hairs in bed. And floors need mopping properly very noticible where the mop has not gone !!

My friends and I had a fabulous weekend at The Bothy!

Very well equipped, cosy, and very private which is exactly what we were after. Everything was provided for our 7 month old too which was great. There are nice trails nearby within walking distance as well as Lake Windermere only being a short drive away. We visited Wray Castle during our stay too which I highly recommend. Everything was extremely clean and well cared for. The floor throughout may need a really good mop however as our socks were black by the end of the day, but other than that, everything was absolutely spot on! Tash is extremely helpful and there straight away if you need anything. If we are in the area in the future, we will definitely be staying here again! 10/10

Enjoyed our week in this comfortable and well equipped cottage but settling in would have been easier if basic instructions for use of oven, hob, extractor fan, blinds and TV had been provided.

The hood/extractor above cooker did not appear to work. The step between bedroom corridor and living area is hazardous and should be highlighted. The external door to the larger bedroom was unlocked and no key seemed to be available.

We really enjoyed our stay was very comfortable and welcoming and would stay here again, the only little thing was our friends room she couldn’t pull down the blind down we just didn’t no how to do it, everything else was great, loved your Vizsla too

The property is nice and looked clean on first glance but then noticed it could all do with a deep clean.

cobwebs in many places in shower also . Shower extractor very dirty and oven extractor greasy . Floors need a good clean grime and dust along edges and in corners. Mattress protector stained ( taken off ) Pillows need protectors . No cleaning materials , dish cloth or oven gloves .

This is a lovely cottage and the underfloor heating made it warm and cosy for us at Christmas.

Thanks Tash for the Christmas pudding & the crackers to pull on Christmas Day! It was good to have the owners so nearby and Tash was super helpful with advice, bringing extra logs for the fire and came over quickly when we had problems with internet/tv access. We had such a nice time at the Bothy, it was great to be within walking distance of Fell Foot and thankfully the rain stopped long enough for us to have a walk by the Lake on Christmas Day and see the intrepid Christmas Day swimmers!

Great venue, location was perfect for us.

Layout of accommodation was clean, well preserved, and comfortable. Instructions for cooler and hob may have been helpful, along with having a vacuum cleaner on site. We were conscious of not leaving dog hairs, but only had a dustpan and brush. Nothing major, but we like to leave any property clean, as we found it. Would certainly want to stay there again in the future.

We had a great stay here the accommodation is amazing and perfect if you want to be close to many of the places in the lakes but have the benefit of somewhere peaceful and quiet … the bothy is well equipped with all the mod cons to make the stay even better while still feel traditional and homely … perfect for our anxious dog to be in a quiet spot .

. hosts were great kept in touch prior to stay and were just a text away if we needed anything .. would highly recommend to anyone to stay here.. will certainly be booking again

First class property extremely clean and comfortable.

The location is excellent and we enjoyed our stay. One small thing is that the TV does not seem to receive live channels and the TV to WiFi link can be tricky. All this is made up for with a Netflix subscription and apps like BBC iplayer and ITVX. We had a great stay, and Trish was always available for any issues. The step down from the bedrooms to the living room could do with a highlighted strip as it is sometimes difficult to see. Thank you Trish Terry & Jane

Absolutely perfect cottage which has been beautifully designed and furnished to make it a real home from home, the attention detail and space and outstanding.

This is without doubt the nicest place we have had the pleasure to stay in in the Lakes, and we've been coming a long time. Tash was extremely helpful and communicative and our dogs were also made to feel very welcome too with little treats, water bowl and blankets. The cottage is set in a peaceful and beautiful location with access to Windermere and many lovely walks just on the doorstep..We will be back!

The property was in a great location on the edge of a small village with some lovely walks close by. It was also well located to visit the South Lakes. The Bothy has been fitted to a high standard and the owners have created a holiday property which is easy to live in and very comfortable.Will definitely be back here again.

We had a great stay in the bothy, slept like logs in the peace and quiet.

You definitely need to state there is a large step up inside the cottage, although you dealt with the problem immediately and I managed (thankyou) I would not have booked for myself if I had spotted the step . Also just a thought maybe install a microwave for convenience. Otherwise a lovely peaceful stay and enjoyed visiting the various lakes. Thankyou for the food hamper.. sticky toffee pudding ....yummy.

lovely modern, cosy and comfortable holiday cottage - with a warm welcome from the owner - who was on hand to help with any queries.

Nothing was too much trouble. Well placed for exploring the Lake District. Well equipped.. but a couple of suggestions would be to add a microwave in the kitchen (for those looking for quick and easy meals on holiday) and an ironing board to go with the iron.

Location was amazing, brilliant access to Windermere and the rest of the lakes. The cottage was so cosy and warm with underfloor heating and a log burner, also having the second bathroom was a nice surprise. Little touches thoughtfully provided such as coffee pods, shampoo, conditioner, etc. as well as a welcome basket really made the difference. Will definitely be returning and recommending far and wide.

What a wonderful property & location.

The Bothy is exactly as the pictures show. Everything from the cutlery to the beds are high quality. The owner, Tash is very friendly and welcoming and is available if you have any problems. There are numerous walks right from the doorstep. It is such a peaceful place & perfect for anyone wanting to relax & unwind from the stresses of day to day life. We shall definitely be visiting again in the future. Thank you for a great stay.
