A delightful garden greets you at the foot of this lovely dwelling, enticing you to take a seat and soak in your peaceful surroundings for a moment before entering your new home-away-from-home to begin your staycation.
A well-presented studio-style living area greets you upon arrival, thoughtfully laid out with a snug sitting area gathered in front of a Smart TV and a sumptuous king-size bed taking centre stage.
The kitchen/diner leading off from the sociable space is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer and other helpful utilities. Alfresco dining is a wonderful way to take advantage of your fellside location enjoying the night sky whilst sipping your favourite beverage.
The tranquil countryside that surrounds your holiday home provides the perfect setting for long walks; grab your walking boots and climb the neighbouring fells including Gummers How, which offers magnificent views of Lake Windermere and The Lake District mountains beyond.
Explore Lake Windermere and Coniston Water where you can Canoe, Kayak or Paddle board. For alternative daytime fun visit Bowness on Windermere which is home to the Old Laundry Theatre and the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, as well as having a thriving nightlife.
A short drive away from the accommodation is all that is required to visit the food haven of Cartmel or take a walk along the promenade at Grange over sands. For the more adventurous, the challenges of climbing Englands highest mountain Scafell Pike or any of the many other high fells could be considered.

This was the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in.
It was immaculately clean , well decorated and appointed. Everything we needed was provided. The welcome provisions - biscuits, milk, bread, butter and Gill's delicious homemade marmalade was indeed very welcome. The property is set in beautiful gardens surrounded by the Lakeland fells and was peaceful. Phil was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to visit. We would highly recommend it.

On arrival the owners were in the garden and introduced themselves.
Which was very welcoming. Once entered the property which was was beautiful inside and out. There was fresh bread bottle of wine local marmalade. Which was really nice thought and was very nice

! One of the best places we have stayed in and we’ve stayed in a lot! So beautiful, immaculately clean and peaceful, with amazing views from both front and back gardens! It’s an awesome base to explore south lakes from and we were about a 5-10 min drive from many attractions and walks but away from the hustle and bustle at the same time. Only downside - if that - would be that we would have loved to have met the hosts, especially as all the previous reviews mentioned how lovely they are! Nevertheless, we hope to be back one day (it’s very rare we say that about anywhere we’ve stayed)!

The place was beautiful and clean.
The Host was there to welcome us and checked to see how we were in between. It’s in a beautiful area so I would definitely recommend it, perfect place for the 2.
A truly delightful experience at this residence where Philip was exceedingly helpful in an unintrusive manner.
When you turned onto Back Lane from the A590, each map app asked you to turn right approximately one hundred yards prior to the turn towards the accommodation. The cottage was clean and comfortable, set in spectacular gardens.
The owners were friendly, helpful but not intrusive. There was plenty of information, maps and walking routes of the area as it is an ideal base for walking. My only minor criticism concerns eating arrangements. The breakfast bar in the kitchen is OK for breakfast, but I prefer a table for the evening meal. We visited in mid October so not possible to eat outside where there is garden furniture. A small table inside would be lovely. Pam

Very clean, cosy and comfortable with everything you might need. Phil & Gill are great hosts and we could not have asked for more. The property was as it said on the tin - plus the added bonus of a stunning back garden and view of the fells to look at from the rear patio.
The property owners were excellent in communication and we met Phil who was extremely helpful and always interested in what we'd been doing. We knew the area from living in the Dales but our week away gave us the opportunity to explore more and come across new delights. We've stayed in a large number of properties and this one falls into a select group of those we'd seriously consider returning to. Thankyou.

the owners of the garden suite at fiddler hall barn have done a fantastic job of making us very welcome the llittle touches they had left for us as a bottel of wine coffee sugar milk and many other little things where much appreciated the setting of the barn doesn't do it justice in the advert the owners have created a beautiful garden being where the barn is situated it's only a short drive to catch the boat on lake windermere will definitely will come back .

What a great place to stay, quite comfortable & a little home from home.
A bath & separate shower was a real bonus for us. The Venue is very central & we were able to visit everywhere we wanted to from there. The owners were easily accessible if anything was required. I highly recommend this place.

The Garden Suite was the perfect place to stay on our first visit to the lakes.
The property is well situated for exploring the area and is a wonderfully cosy retreat to come home to after a day walking. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and could not have hoped for a better holiday. The hosts Gill and Phil were welcoming and friendly while giving us space to enjoy our holiday but were on hand if we needed anything.

The welcome was first class, the rooms spotless and the owner was easily contactable if needed.
My only concern as an older person is that the sofa is too low to the floor and so very hard to get out of - please could you consider raising it on blocks - easily available - to make sure that it is truly comfy for all. Weather was mixed but we still had a very good holiday. Thank you we would definitely recommend you to anyone.

A lovely peaceful cottage in a very good location for exploring many areas of the Lake District, particularly Coniston, Hawkshead and the less popular south.
Gill and Phillip were welcoming and friendly hosts who provided lots of useful information and have carefully thought about how to ensure their guests can immediately relax and enjoy their holiday. For me it was an excellent base for walking many trails and a relaxing place to return to at the end of each day.

This cottage feels very spacious, due to the clever layout.
It's set in a well maintained, wrap around garden which gives it a tranquil feel. You immediately switch off. It's well equipped, very clean and thoughtfully decorated. Perfectly situated for sight seeing and walking. The hosts are very welcoming and so helpful. Best cottage we have stayed in.

My recent stay at Garden Suite was brilliant , the cottage was very well equipt and had everything one would need for a stay.
The cottage location is on the edge of Newby Bridge which gives you great access to the Lake District. I would highly recommend the Garden Suite cottage for a holiday getaway to anyone whom is looking for a holiday in the Lake District.

Beautiful large garden with bridge over pond and well equipped summer house. Well situated for long walks and nearby tourist attractions. Friendly owners on hand if needed. We will definitely return.

Very comfortable cottage with quality furniture, fixtures and fittings (on arriving home we actually replaced our old clothes airer with the same model as in the Garden Suite because it was so much better).

First class in every way.
Comfortable, spotless, very well equipped. The owners have added lots of personal extras that made it feel home from home. As a solo traveller I felt very secure there. The fantastic gardens are a credit to their hard work. Beautiful views towards the fells. Good base to access other routes for exploration of the lakes. First time staying in the Lake District in early March with glorious weather! The property is situated in a beautiful setting overlooking the hills and also with their own immaculate garden! The property had everything we needed for our 3 night stay and there were some lovely touches added in each of the rooms which made it feel very homely. Gill & Phillip were very friendly and welcoming and gave us recommendations on where to visit around the area. We will 100% be booking this property again! Gaz & Kim

Everything about the Garden Suite was wonderful, we had a perfect stay.
The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and the small touches like leaving bread, milk, clotted cream, wine, snack bars etc were very nice. The accommodation was immaculate and could not be faulted. Much thought has gone into the preparation of the property to ensure we had the best possible stay. Our only regret is that we didn't book it for long enough. We will be back!

One of the absolute best places I have stayed!
From start to finish, I really did feel at home. There was nothing I needed that wasn't available through my stay. I was able to choose walks based off their recommendations within the area and found myself having a really great time. I had never been to the Lakes so I found that the welcome information I was given by email and in the suite, was extremely useful. Location wise, it was perfect. I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay, everything seemed to be within 10-20 minutes of the suite and the roads were really quiet so I found the drives really enjoyable. Gill and Phillip went above and beyond from a hosting perspective and I am ever so grateful for the experience. I really would love to stay there again. I was able to speak to Gill and Phillip through my stay and I am really happy I did, they are a wonderful couple and I hope that future guests appreciate the space they have created for others'.
