“My husband and I plus our two dogs had a wonderful time at Pond End.”
The cottage was everything I was looking for and I had been looking for at least 3 months!!
I wanted an old stone cottage with enclosed outside space (for dogs) with a view! I also wanted quiet but not completely isolated. Pond End couldn’t have been any more perfect for us. Not too sure if there was wifi , we didn’t ask and the nearest shop is in shap about 4 miles or so so if these things bother you then might be a problem but for us it was fine. We took our-shopping with us. The only other thing to mention is the outside space IS enclosed as described but if you have an escapist dog then you would need to watch. Our two (cockapoo and Jack Russell type) were fine.
We were lucky enough to have fabulously warm weather during our week so we spent more time than we envisaged around and about the property l, soaking up sun and reading in the courtyard, but lots of places easily accessible as the cottage is easy to get to off the M6. (No sight or sound of it in Newby but it is close )
All in all a fantastic week in a fabulous spot in England.
