    “We had a great family stay in Willow over Easter.”

    The cabin was very clean, well kitted out and the hot tub was very well looked after. The clever layout ensures that you have good privacy in the cabin and hot tub. The owners came to greet us and were very friendly. The wifi service and TV provision was good. It was lovely staying on a working farm and the children especially loved seeing all the different animals. The location is just outside of Ulverston and walkable even with young children. It's only a mile to the John Barrow Monument via ...

    The cabin was very clean, well kitted out and the hot tub was very well looked after. The clever layout ensures that you have good privacy in the cabin and hot tub. The owners came to greet us and were very friendly. The wifi service and TV provision was good. It was lovely staying on a working farm and the children especially loved seeing all the different animals. The location is just outside of Ulverston and walkable even with young children. It's only a mile to the John Barrow Monument via public footpaths. It was our second visit, we think it's a great place to stay. Our kids were a bit nervous around the dogs on the farm, which were very friendly but were jumping up a little. It is advertised as a dog friendly place and there are photos of the dogs on the listing, so it's to be expected. It wasn't a big deal for us but I'd just like to mention in case anyone reading is nervous around dogs. Thanks for the lovely stay!

ULVERSTON

Lake Windermere 10 miles; Coniston Water 11 miles.

Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay. All of the attractions of the National Park are also easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay.
