“I was expecting everything to be first class due to the price paid.”

However the pans were in a shocking condition and after complaining to the owner we were told to buy more ourselves at Tescos. However the pans were in a shocking condition and after complaining to the owner we were told to buy more ourselves at Tescos. I don't think this is an acceptable solution at all especially after travelling a couple of hours with 2 babies. The lodge was booked specifically because it had 3 bedrooms so that the babies cots could be errected however we had to stack the single beds on top of one another to make room for the cots. In previous accommodations this is done by staff. The hot tub had two settings on the jets, mild and even milder, very disappointing as when booking a hot tub you expect jets to massage your aches and pains. The children's play ground that is advertised is on another site. No shop on site. Overall the holiday was marred by the constant reminder to check and report faults and the do's and don'ts list. There was a few faults with the lodge which I didn't notice on first inspection so then i was worrying if we'd get the blame as the rules state that missing items and such will be charged for, i found the worry of this quite stressful as you are reminded atleast 3 times in the house rules. The proximity to the motorway meant quite a lot of traffic noise all day and all through the night. Overall it is a nice lodge just overpriced. Usable pans and a decent hot tub would of made all the difference to our stay.

Let me state exactly what happened here for all to read in response to you. You arrived and said the lodge was wonderful Then next message lodge was too warm yet out of kindness I put it to 20 degrees because you had a newborn Then the pans. I have an immense amount of high quality kitchen equipment and you are only guest to complain. However I offered if you wanted to pop to Tesco I would reimburse you for speed. Then you asked where do you put two cots? I said there is a cot in the lodge that fits in the king room but you said you didn’t want to use it I have never been asked to facilitate this for you and I absolutely would not ask my cleaner to stack heavy divan single beds for you or anyone else You took my bedrooms apart including taking bolts out of the king size bed and didn’t put them back in and moved large items of furniture in the lodge also did not put back. Found dust underneath a heavy divan bed. I asked for a photo. You never sent it. I offered to sort any issues you had the next morning. I would have sent pans to the lodge with the cleaner. You refused saying you did not want to be disturbed. You were concerned about ornaments as you had a two year old. You stuffed items into the wardrobes. Broke a clock. You used 8 beds 1 x king 4 x singles and a double sofa bed. For two adults ! You used all the towels for that many guests too. You broke the toilet seat in the en-suite The hot tub jets can be adjusted for strength by rotating the covers which increases the pressure had you of asked me You left my lodge in a terrible state. Including your rubbish. My emails are very informative and yes it does say if you accidentally take hairdryers robes etc I will expect to be reimbursed. As we have had items taken in past. Finally, due to the immense amount of messages you bombarded me with I emailed Sykes and asked them to transfer you to another place the next morning. And refund you in full. Sykes failed to do as I asked. Disrespectful guest! Property Owner
