“I am very sorry to say that I was really disappointed with High Stile.”

This is the first Sykes cottage I have had an issue with. The cottage is very tired, it could do with some maintenance, a deep clean and decoration. The sofas were very dirty with marks as were the rugs and some of the walls. The oilcloth on the dining table was ripped in several places and the table mats were scored and dirty. I have photos, should you need to see them. The heating was very good and there was a good supply of hot water. The kitchen was very well equipped to cook for a ...

The kitchen was very well equipped to cook for a family of six. Another issue which caused problems was a planned power outage on Thursday which left us with no electricity from 9.30 -4.30. During this time along with lack of power, we had no heating or water. As this was a planned outage, I feel that you as agents should have been notified and in turn ourselves. It’s very difficult entertaining three children in a dark cold cottage. The location of High Stile is lovely and well suited for a family of 6/7. With some updates and TLC it would have been wonderful.
