“This cottage is in a wonderful location & is equipped to a very high standard.”

Positioned on a working farm with sheep nearby is a Cumbrian delight. The owners are so friendly we couldn't ask for more from a holiday.

The property

Selside 1.6 miles. Longwell House is a beautifully situated two bedroom semi-detached cottage that is both modern yet calm and cosy, like a great cottage should be. Every room in the property has big windows that allow guests the chance to take in the picturesque landscape during their whole stay here. On the ground floor, after you walk in, guests are met with a very large and modern kitchen and dining area that is complete with everything needed to cook big family meals, and do so in front of the electric stove. After a long day exploring the surrounding hills, you can relax in the sitting room on one of the sofas, watch some television and enjoy the wood burning stove. Up the impressive staircase are the two comfortable king-size double bedrooms one with an en-suite bathroom and the other with an en-suite shower room, meaning all guests can stay here in comfort. Outside of the property is an enclosed lawned garden along with a small patio area for relaxing if the weather is nice. Beyond that are rolling green hills that make the countryside a pleasure to gaze out at. The nearest town to the property is Kendal in Cumbria, where guests can find shops, pubs, restaurants and all the other amenities you may need. Due to the nature of the area, guests are usually keen to take long walks to soak up the natural beauty or visit the abundance of historical museums, churches and castles that are dotted around the region. With room for four people, this loveable cottage is perfect for families and groups of friends who want to escape to the country in typical cottage fashion, but have all the modern amenities from home. Longwell House is the perfect holiday home for a family break or a larger celebration when booked with Longwell Cottage. Note: This property is next to Ref. 30676, together they sleep 10.
