“Grasmere is a quaint village, easy to walk around and pretty flat which is really handy if youâve spent several hours trekking in the hills.”
Itâs an ideal location for walks around the area, and further afield. There are plenty of shops and cafes within a short distance.
âThe Galleryâ is a lovely property, situated above Lakes Art Gallery, which is well worth a visit.
The car park space is sufficient for an average sized car. If you reverse up to quite close to the door itâs not a problem at all, and it is quite handy if you want to transfer things from the boot straight into the property without getting wet! (It does rain âoccasionallyâ in The Lakes).
Regarding the actual property, it ticks all the boxes really.
The bathroom is lovely, and the shower must be one of the best Iâve ever used. Thereâs good water pressure, itâs large and designed in such a way that water doesnât end up on the bathroom floor. This isnât always the case.
Due to the sloping roof, you may need to walk around with care in certain areas if you are tall. However, Iâm 6â4â and didnât bang my head once, which was a lovely surprise!
There were some lovely touches in the property, including a welcome gift that was there to greet me upon my arrival! (youâll have to stay there to find out what it was!). The property is well kitted out with everything one would need. I canât think of anything it lacked for my stay.
The storage heaters are âinterestingâ, and do what storage heaters do, but it wasnât a problem. I was there in Winter, and it was warm enough at all times.
The only very minor âniggleâ was a very slow running cold tap in the kitchen, but Iâm sure that would have been rectified for the next guest.
I enjoyed my stay in February so much, I booked for next year shortly after returning home.
Highly recommended! Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to leave such kind feedback.
We are so pleased to read that you had an enjoyable stay, and the welcome gift.
We look forward to welcoming you back next year.
