“Wow what a pleasant SURPRISE!”
We booked this cottage over 9 months in advance but after reading feedback left in October 2019, we were worried and apprehensive about staying in this cottage as we have major health and breathing problems.
We need not to have worried at all. JAKANORI was a very special cottage indeed. Warm and Extremely Cosy.
It has everything you would ever want or need to make your holiday one to remember.
There was NO DAMP or DAMP aroma at all, the cottage is decorated to a high standard. The bedrooms on the ground floor were fantastic, The beds felt very firm and supportive, on inspection the mattresses were actually orthopaedic/posturpaedic, Good Quality Sleeping and my Back Aches actually improved.
We are very fussy about having good facilities, especially with TV & Broadband, we are pleased to report that the TV worked just fine. The Broadband was superfast and we are so grateful for that. 1 Hour download from I player in 3 minutes.
My wife who is Registered Blind, found the house very easy to navigate, I myself are Disabled and can not walk far at all but even managed to get upstairs as they are extra wide and not so many steps.
It was so good, that we have actually booked again, but for 3 weeks this time. The stinging feedback left in October did not Ring true to our stay at all.
Like most homes their could be one or two jobs that could be addressed, but nothing major!
We really enjoyed our time here in JAKANORI and Staveley itself is a Small Cumbrian Village, lovely quality butchers across the road, chemist, newsagents, post office and a Spar. Wilf's Cafe lovely food and a lovely Artisan bakery just around the corner and hey just 4 miles from Windermere!
Our doggies enjoyed it too, we felt they were safe and secure in the yard. JAKANORI Even has a Piano to tinkle on, If only I could play!
One thing we were extremely impressed with was the quality of the build and especially the glazing, we hardly heard a thing from outside at all.
Everything in the cottage was so lovely and clean from the towels, bedding and the general feel of JAKANORI was truly sparkling.
On the day we departed we met the housekeepers, 3 of them who were extremely helpful and so friendly.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you all for a wonderful holiday and also to Sykes as they are always there to help you if needed, This was our 4th Holiday booked through SYKES...........AMAZING!!!!!!!
