    “We booked a last minute weekend away and what an amazing place!”

    Everything about the mansion's apartments are perfect, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need (inc tea/coffee/milk /biscuits/bottled water). The communal space is stunning with activities and seating areas tucked away and the grounds are fabulous with lots of outdoor sports and hidden gems. Ulverston is in walking distance but be aware that the restaurants are very busy in summer so pre booking (by at least a week) is a must but there is an Aldi and M&S food hall 2 minutes ...

It can accommodate up to four guests. Climb the stairs and take in the beautiful Gothic/Scottish baronial style architecture as you enter your contemporary, luxurious home away from home. Relax in this homely space while your travelling companion (or designated chef) whips up a delicious meal in the fully-stocked kitchen. Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay. All of the attractions of the National Park are also easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching.
