Lovely modern lodge, great location, well equiped, beds comfortable. However, on arrival, there wasn't any bedding on the super king bed, just the quilt and a blanket in a heap in the middle of the bed. Telephoned the the owner twice, who advised she would get it sorted. 45 minutes later a young man appeared with some bedding and handed it to me (no offer to actually make the bed though. Good job I had my daughter and son in law with me to do it, as I'm disabled and wouldn't have been able to manage).
We are regular visitors to the Lakes. However, as not all people know their way around, a welcome book would be a nice addition to the accommodation, with some local information/places of interest/location of nearest supermarkets etc. We have always had one at the many previous Sykes properties we have stayed at, and find them an invaluable tool.
WiFi non-existent. The lodge was super clean, however, a bit of attention from the cleaners is required under the couch on a regular basis. Our dogs ball rolled under there, and when retrieving it, my son in law found large clumps of dust, a crushed alcohol can, and chips.
Glad you enjoyed your stay,will look into a guide, I will take your points up with the cleaning company, mortified about the bed and I’m extremely sorry,again I will bring this to the attention of the cleaning company and the cleaning under the sofa. Wi-Fi unfortunately is Parkdean and we have raised this before.
