“The house was supposed to have 2 parking permits one being for the street.”
The street permit was missing. This was reported to the office and we were told nothing could be done.
As a result the week was very stressful as the parking situation was awful. We dreaded com8ng back to the property. On the Friday of our holiday we got a parking ticket.
We have never had this kind of experience before and it has put us off for the future.

I am extremely disturbed to hear this and no wonder you were upset. There have always been 2 parking permits and I found out that one of the cleaners had taken the permit by accident. Now what I find particularly irritating is that you were told nothing could be done about it and it would appear that the missing permit wasn't looked into. As it happens I stayed at the property shortly after and took this up with the cleaning company because the permit was still missing. The permit was returned immediately.
I was unaware that this had happened to any guests that stayed before me. You are owed an apology and of course any parking charges you incurred and the parking fine will be reimbursed. Please contact Sykes and let them know how much. I want to reassure anyone reading this that there are 2 permits and the cleaners have been told to double check that these are in the property. This should NOT have happened. Please accept my sincere apologies.
