“A beautiful Cottage in the Perfect Location - We will definitely be back.”

We spend a wonderful week at Aspen Boutique and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is a beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated, exceptionally well equipped, and perfectly located just a few minutes walk from Windermere High Street, with all the amenities and the railway station close by. We spend a wonderful week at Aspen Boutique and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is a beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated, exceptionally well equipped, and perfectly located just a few minutes walk from Windermere High Street, with all the amenities and the railway station close by. The layout was ideal for our group. There are five lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds, including a fantastic children's room with a PlayStation, which our kids absolutely loved! There are also, three beautiful, pristine bathrooms, well - stocked and charming blue kitchen and a cosy living room with a fireplace. We did not get a chance to use the fireplace during our stay, but we are already looking forward to returning in winter and enjoying it! There was a comment in a review about bright light in the living room, now there are beautiful secondary floor standing lights in the living and dining rooms which makes the rooms cosy. The location is excellent for exploring the Lake District. Windermere lake is around 20 minutes walk away, and there are plenty of buses nearby, making it very easy to explore the surrounding area and visit some of the beautiful lakes and villages. A small note about parking: there are two parking spaces, one by the back door and another by the kitchen window. The instructions were not completely clear to us, so we had to call Sykes to confirm which spaces to use, but this was easily resolved. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and felt very much at home. We will definitely be back!

“Wonderful week at Aspen Boutique - A perfect Lake District Getaway.”

Our week - long stay at Aspen Boutique was absolutely perfect. The location is unbeatable - peaceful, yet conveniently placed just a two minute stroll from Windermere high street, local restaurants, supermarkets and bus stop. The cottage itself is gorgeous, clean and decorated with excellent taste. It comfortably accommodated our group of 8 adults with five lovely bedrooms, one single room with larger than single bed and three beautiful bathrooms. The heart of the home is a lovely well - stocked kitchen and a comfy living room with a fireplace. The property includes two dedicated parking spaces a the back of the house (one in front of the kitchen door and one to the side of the kitchen, while the parking instructions were not clear initially, we paid to park on the street first day. We highly recommended and look froward to book again.

“We had a great time here, really enjoyed the accommodation.”

Just around the corner from the butchers, bakers, Co-op, Sainsbury's, Greggs, Booths etc. Lots of bar cafes. This place obviously had a lot of money spent on it. Just some constructive feedback. The kitchen bathroom door handle just came off in my hand as we entered the cottage! It just needs a screwdriver but we didn't have one and wasn't about to call Sykes and bother ourselves with it. Sykes are terrible. We asked on the Thursday afternoon if there was anyway to extend checkout including paying but they ignored us, even now on Sunday, 2 days later, they've still not bothered to reply. But that is wholly standard with them. The Checkout is 10.00am and Check-in 16:00pm, which is appalling. I know many do it but it's terrible. Although we got in at 3pm thanks to nice cleaner. The previous review about the lights in living are correct. They said now sorted, but isn't at all. The dishwasher and dryer are very old and barely working. You need proper doorstops around the ground floor. Anyway it was great outside of of small gripes. We would certainly return. Preferably not through Sykes.

Pillows on all of the beds were more like bolster pillows and looked nice when beds were made but too deep and firm for sleeping!

“We stayed at Aspen Boutique for 7 days, house was in immaculate state and well equipped for 7 adults, 1 toddler and a baby.”

It has everything we need and more. The house facilitate two cars for parking round the back of the property. The rest of us parked at local car park which was two minutes walk. Reasonable price as you can buy 3/7 days worth of parking.

“Aspen Cottage is a lovely, well equipped cottage in an ideal location for exploring Windermere & Bowness.”

The bedrooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable, although headroom is somewhat limited on the top floor (but with well placed "caution" signs!). The seating downstairs was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed, with a lot of the equipment appearing to be brand new! The off-road parking was also super helpful. My only very small criticism is that the lighting in the lounge & dining room is a very bright, cold light. It would have been nice to have something warmer with the ability to either dim the lights or just use smaller table or pedestal lamps. Otherwise, a lovely cottage in a lovely location.

Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park.
