Enter into the sitting room and discover a traditional woodburning stove that rests within an eye-catching fireplace and offers a sense of character, complementing the stylish furnishings and sleek TV. Move through to the country-style kitchen, certain to encourage some home-cooking with the abundance of impressive appliances such as the electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is also a wooden dining table where guests can gather to enjoy a family board game or mouth-watering feast as you toast to a wonderful Lake District break. Head upstairs to find two inviting bedrooms, including the master with a double bed and a twin room with a Victorian feature fireplace, both of which are served by a family bathroom with curved tub and a rainfall shower that rests above. Embrace the fresh countryside air in the enclosed garden patio, ideal for relaxing in after a hard day of sightseeing or walking. Just a stone’s throw away, the nearest pub offers a wonderful way to reward yourself as you indulge in a cold pint. Get to know your surroundings with a walk into Windermere village where you will be spoilt for choice by the selection of shops and eateries to dine in. Take a relaxing stroll alongside Lake Windermere and admire its fabulous and far-reaching views, or why not get involved in some watersports, including kayaking and boat rides. Open tour buses are available in the nearby towns of Ambleside and Grasmere, whilst lake cruises are a lovely way to explore the area. Literary lovers will delight in a visit to the World of Beatrix Potter, which is great for those with children or head to the National Trust owned Hill Top, which was formerly the farmhouse that Beatrix Potter lived in.
