Brook Cottage

This Cottage is really comfortable and nice, we would stay again.

Its stone floors meant it was cool on a hot day which was excellent! The garden is very pretty and perfect for sitting outside.

Great location, close to the bus route to get around but also walkable distance to bowness. Secure enclosed garden. Perfet size for two adults two children and our puppy.

We had a lovely stay at Brook Cottage and it was a great base for our holiday.

The beds were very comfortable and the cottage itself was very well equipped and dog friendly. Windermere has everything you might need and is within easy walking distance - transport links are excellent to other parts of the Lake District. The owners were very responsive when we had a query.

It is ideally situated for easy access to Windermere. The cottage is well equipped and the sunny garden an added bonus. Especially during a heatwave ! Plenty of road parking too. Well recommended.

An absolute Gem

Lovely cottage that is well furnished, equipped and maintained.

It was ideal for my car-free holiday, with Windermere train station an easy walk and plenty of buses to get around.

Brook Cottage is a perfect little venue in an ideal spot!

We were very comfortable there - the cottage is so well equipped - and had a lovely week in the Lake District, and never any issue getting parked outside the cottage.

From the moment we entered the cottage we fell in love with the place.

There is a lovely cosy, comfortable feeling which welcomes you in and as we explored, always an exciting part of a holiday, it became apparent that the owners had thought of everything we might need. All that combined with its ideal location means we’ll definitely be back.

A wonderful stay in a cosy, warm, welcoming cottage in the heart of the Lakes, a long with a lovely welcome package and a bottle of prosecco upon arrival.

The owners have clearly thought of all of the finer details to make each guests stay as comfortable and homely as possible. The garden was a delight for our dog, from previous stays in the Lakes at other properties we have found it difficult to find a house so close to Windermere with a garden. The owners communication throughout our stay was impeccable, no faults! We will be returning to Brook Cottage for sure.

Had a fabulous week in Brook Cottage, we struggled to find it initially but a quick phone call to Iain and he guided us directly to it, he kept in touch to make sure everything was ok for us.

Would wholly recommend the cottage for location and amenities nearby. Ten out of ten.

Fantastic property, enclosed garden and cottage were both well maintained and we appreciated the tea/coffee, washing consumables that were left for us at the property.

It was a perfect base to explore the Lake District, plus short and easy walk into town where there is a coop and Sainsbury’s. Pillows weren’t firm enough for us so we used cushions and the rugs in the bedrooms were slippy against the wooden flooring so tucked them under the beds. Overall, one of the best properties we have stayed in. Would definitely return.

A warning.

This property is not dog friendly. If you leave any dog hairs visible to the naked eye, you will be charged for a deep clean by the owners. The same with any wear and tear living on any piece of furniture. Rather than just being cleaned by hand, it will be deemed necessary to strip off all the covers and sent away at great cost to you. If you rent out a dog friendly property, when you go out walking every day (in the rain on some days) you can't expect it to be pristine after a week in the Lake District. A shame really as it is a nice cottage. Just owners who have unrealistic ideas of renting a property!

Lovely cosy cottage, cute and well tended little garden.

Both bedrooms are spacious. Even on a very wet week, the cottage felt very confortable. It’s well located with shops and restaurants nearby. The pub just down the road is great. There is a short walk to Brant Fell with amazing views of the lake.

Perfect for our small family & little pooch. Garden is secure and well maintained so safe for our dog. Perfect location for local walks, with shops & food places in Windemere only 5 mins away & Bowness within 15 mins. A lovely stay in The Lakes.

Very comfortable cottage, very cosy, very pretty.

We spent a wonderful week there. From the garden a bubbling beck can be heard. It's marvellous.

Your cottage is beautiful it gives you home from home feeling.

It is clean, comfy and has everything you need for a stay. It is well situated for all the amenities. The garden is a little gem. The property and garden did not disappoint.

We have just had a lovely three night break to Brook Cottage which we both enjoyed and would not hesitate to go back if we could get the same last minute break at a good price.

There was plenty of space for us both and the dog but four adults may find space a bit tight. Fine for a family of four with two young children. There was a couple of small maintenance problems and no off road parking which it states there is in the prospectus for the cottage. Although a little welcome pack with essentials in would have been nice it was a clean cottage with everything you could need, tucked away from the main areas of Windermere, for a good break.

Wow what a fabulous cottage, beautiful location, comfy, very clean and tidy, lovely garden.

Highly recommend property 10/10. 10 minutes walk to Windermere town and about 15 Minute walk to the Lake, shops and restaurants. There is a pub just opposite with outdoor seating.

The property was lovely, we had everything we needed. The owners were very responsive to answering any queries we had. The location was perfect for us, with plenty of nearby walks and places to explore.

Nestled between Windermere and Bowness, both towns were easily walkable but we did use the bus to get back from Bowness which was always well served. Plenty to do in the Lake District which is why we love it

My daughter and I had a delightful week staying at Brook Cottage and would highly recommend it.

The cottage was very well presented and comfortable and a very pretty garden which we appreciated at the end of a day. Luckily the weather was good and we were able to get out and about and appreciate the beautiful scenery. It was a week we will both look back with very happy memories.

All was as said in advertisement. Beautiful cottage and very well equipped. The bus stop was only a few yards away and we used our bus passes to go everywhere. I parked my car outside the cottage on the Friday and never got back until time to drive home. Will certainly be recommending it to others. Fantastic

Beautiful cottage, with all you need to have a short break.

Key safe was easy to find and checking in was no problem at all. We were greeted with a welcome box of tea, coffee and biscuits, and even a bottle of champagne with a message wishing my wife a happy 40th birthday. Communication with Ian and Joanne was very easy and friendly. We loved our stay there, but we wish it could’ve been longer than two nights. We will definitely check availability. Next time we are visiting the area.
