“A warning. This property is not dog friendly.”
If you leave any dog hairs visible to the naked eye, you will be charged for a deep clean by the owners. The same with any wear and tear living on any piece of furniture. Rather than just being cleaned by hand, it will be deemed necessary to strip off all the covers and sent away at great cost to you. If you rent out a dog friendly property, when you go out walking every day (in the rain on some days) you can't expect it to be pristine after a week in the Lake District. A shame really as it is a nice cottage. Just owners who have unrealistic ideas of renting a property!
Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments.
We would like to reiterate that Brook Cottage is most definitely a dog friendly property, with 85 % of our bookings this year have been with pets. This is the first time that we have had to charge guests for how the property was left.
Upon your departure it was reported to us that we would need to replace both the quilt and quilt cover as our cleaner was unable to remove the mud and blood stains, and the sofa covers had to be washed to ensure cleanliness for our next guests.
We are sorry that you felt disappointed by this action, but these actions were undertaken after attempts to remove the stains. We hope that you will return to the Lakes again.
