Comfortable and good location with parking. We were expected to accommodate the painters to paint the front door and if we weren’t in they would use their master key. This in my mind is not acceptable. The notice for this was given in an email which being on holiday I don’t check every day, so I could have come back in later in the day to find a stranger at the door and the door open. Uncharacteristically I checked my emails on Monday, therefore with the possibility of painters arriving had to forfeit lazy mornings as didn’t want to be in nightwear when they turned up. Also had to accommodate the roofers. If maintenance is due on the property either inform me beforehand so I can choose whether to rent or don’t let the property that week. Thoroughly unacceptable.
Thank you for taking your time to provide feedback on your stay. We are sorry that you did not find the cleaning to fall short, had we known about this we would have organised an urgent re-clean. In addition, we apologise that you were disrupted by the necessary works. This property is part of a building of both residential and holiday lets so we do not have control over how or when the building management carry out works. Therefore, we can only inform guests once we are notified. In this case the roof was leaking, affecting other properties and this required works on it to prevent further damages. I hope this helps to explain the situation. We are glad that you enjoy the property and your stay.
