“We had a great 3-night stay at The Old Village House to celebrate my mum’s 60th birthday.”

The place was lovely, clean, and had everything you needed for a short break. The beds and furniture were very comfortable too. The cottage is in a fantastic location and we would love to stay again. We’ll definitely be recommending it to others! Just one observation, it would be a nice added touch if some logs and firelighters were provided for the log burner — we arrived late on a wet and windy night and had to go back out to buy some. I also emailed Lakelovers a couple of days ...

Just one observation, it would be a nice added touch if some logs and firelighters were provided for the log burner — we arrived late on a wet and windy night and had to go back out to buy some. I also emailed Lakelovers a couple of days before our arrival with a request and didn’t receive a response. Other than that, the cottage was well equipped with everything you need and the parking for two cars was an added bonus! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you! ☺️

Thanks for taking time to write about your stay! What a lovely way to celebrate your Mum’s birthday!! So pleased you all enjoyed your time at the house and in Windermere. Shame that the weather was a bit mixed! Apologies about the lack of response from Lakelovers; they are usually so reliable and efficient! Glad you managed to enjoy the log burner nonetheless. Thank you again for your lovely review Property Owner
