“Amazing cottage in a brilliant location We had a really enjoyable stay at Snowflake cottage.”

We found it to be immaculate, extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished & decorated and really well equipped. It’s in an ideal location so close to the centre of Windermere, with a parking space at the back which is a huge benefit.

“What an amazing week staying at Snowflake Cottage.”

Beautiful decor, plenty of space, perfect base for being outdoors and everything had been thought about to make the stay as close to being at home as possible (with added lakes and mountains nearby!) Added bonus of parking and being dog friendly. In fact, it was one of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in as a family. Thank you.

“We had a lovely week at Snowflake cottage, so nice being close to Windermere village centre with cafes, bars and shops.”

The cottage was lovely and comfortable with all we needed. When we had a problem with the property Sykes were very helpful and prompt in sorting it out as were the owners. The only thing on the website that wasn't clear is the parking. There is an off road parking space at the property as well as a permit to park on the road at the front, so room for two cars.

“Great cottage, well placed for hills, restaurants and bars, only a short distance to lake at Bowness on Windermere.”

Over the last few years we have been to many cottages and this is probably the best one we have been to, clean and well furnished. Coupe of minor areas for improvement, leaky tap in kitchen sink and small leak from sink in first bathroom bathroom. Would benefit from a gate in back garden to make it fully enclosed, otherwise perfect.

“Lovely cottage in a great central location.”

No complaints about the cottage only suggestion would be a gate in the back garden so those guests with dogs can let them out securely. Other than that fabulous great to have a parking space and will definitely return to this cottage.

“Perfect cottage in perfect location with everything on our doorstep .”

Cottage is nice and roomy with three spacious bedrooms and the kids loved the top floor bedroom . Lovely lounge and dining room which we used every night and everything you could need is available in the kitchen . Everything is top notch and we won’t hesitate to visit again

We stayed with our friends, another couple, and all agreed place great. Feel cottage would accommodate young and old along with families or couples enjoying a break away together. It’s a very traditional cottage with beautiful stonework popular in the lake district. Great on-suite bedroom on the 3rd level offering a ‘break-out’ space if you like some downtime or perfect for teenagers. Had a fabulous holiday which won’t be our last as we will return with our grandchildren.

“What a great time we had during our first trip to the lakes.”

Everything was spot-on, comfortable beds, cosy lounge, great dining room. Windermere is a fab place and cottage a 2 minute walk into town offering lots of bars and restaurants. Bowness is a 15-minute walk away, providing even more choice. Will re-book this cottage, hopefully returning in the summer when everywhere will be even more beautiful.

“Great stay, great cottage and great location.”

We did lots of walks during our stay, arriving home tired at the end of the day to a very comfortable cottage with a brilliant, large bath. Loved the local bars and restaurants for a few enjoyable evenings out.

Only a short stroll away from Windermere town centre, which has a wealth of shops, pubs, restaurants, and bars, is this Victorian mid-terrace property. Snowflake Cottage offers a lovely place to call home and is exquisitely arranged on three floors, ideal for up to six guests. Enter the house and settle in the lounge, which is furnished with Victorian details, a bay window, three sofas, and a Smart TV, creating a welcoming atmosphere for relaxing. The dining room is perfect for indulging in hearty meals prepared in the fitted, shaker-style kitchen, which is equipped with an electric double oven, a gas stove, a microwave, a fridge, a dishwasher, and even a washing machine and tumble dryer so you can quickly throw your clothes on a spin. The king-size and double rooms on the first floor are both tastefully decorated and have access to a dazzling bathroom with a bath and a walk-in rainfall shower. The twin room, which has Velux windows, lots of storage, and an en-suite bathroom, is up a further flight of stairs. When you're ready to explore, there are a variety of eateries on your doorstep, along with convenience stores where you can pick up any necessities. The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District.
