The bus stop and shops being a stones throw away was a delight. The property had everything we needed and was very cosy. The bonus was having two bathrooms too especially with four of us staying and we enjoyed using the fire. Our favourite place to sit was the kitchen at the breakfast bar and watch tv, whilst my parents enjoyed sitting in the living room. It's a shame the basement was out of use, but would certainly have used it as it looked great.
As an experienced driver, the access path to drive down was OK but it is quite narrow and some may even struggle but we liked that there was an additional parking permit provided to park on the street also.
Whilst we kept the property clean during out stay, we noticed it could have done with a thorough clean. There was quite a bit of dirt and dust gathered downstairs, in particular the living room. We struggled to locate the general waste wheelie bin during our stay, it would be good if this was kept closer to the property for future use. We also love to recycle where we can, if there is an option to recycle we would have preferred this too. Due to covid we tend to strip the beds ourselves and place all the dirty towels etc downstairs by the washing machine, it would be good if the instructions had something outlining what to do with bed linen and towels when departing.
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage, it made our first visit to the Lakes perfect. We would love to stay again.
