A comfortable double bed and a modern shower room complete the first-floor studio layout, making it the perfect spot to unwind before going to bed or to start your morning before exploring the area. From the property's doorstep, choose from a wide range of bars, pubs, cafes, and restaurants that serve hearty cuisine, exquisite wines, and ales. On nights when you don't feel like cooking, treat your significant other at one of these venues. The Windermere Golf Club is about 1 mile away.  The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is nearby and offers a variety of contemporary exhibits devoted to the famed children's author.  If you want to view the former writer's home, travel to Ambleside where the National Trust maintains the 17th century cottage, Hill Top.  Spend the day at Lake Windermere for a variety of watersports like paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing, or for a more leisurely day, sail across the lake to Ambleside where, in the summer, you can ride a horse-drawn carriage from the centre to Waterhead Pier. Explore Rydal Cave, scramble up Scafell Pike, or learn more about aquatic life at Lakes Aquarium. The well-known villages of Ulverston and Kendal, which are home to the Stott Bobbin Mill and Kendal Golf Club, are also close by. Bring your loved one to Uplands Retreat for an amazing holiday.
