Enter into the property to find the delightfully decorated sitting room, featuring a large picture window, which affords a constant connection with the endearing village, whilst the three sofas invite you to relax in front of the Smart TV and the gas fire offers a gentle warmth.
Slip through the far door to find the kitchen/diner, where the contemporary suite boasts a number of modern touches and integrated appliances, sure to encourage the chef of group to rustle up family-favourite dishes, whilst the elegantly-presented dining table offers a sociable spot for enjoying the company of your loved ones over good food and drinks!
As the evening grows darker, catch your rest within one of the three bedrooms, the master suite notable for its sumptuous double bed, piled with plump cushions and a TV, perfect for those lazing Sunday mornings.
Bedroom two has another double bed, whilst the third and final bedroom is a bunk bed layout, perfectly arranged to suit groups of couples, friends or families with children.
The garden at The Croft Bungalow is as equally as impressive, with a rear patio providing great views across the countryside landscape, with table and chairs for alfresco dining and the front garden offers space for your canine companion to stretch his legs and a charming pond to admire.
For the evenings where you do not feel like cooking, be sure to linger over a pint at the neighbouring pub, the Last Man Inn before sampling their excellent home-cooked dining menu.
Alternatively, journey into the nearby town of Aspatria, where you will find a small collection of pubs, takeaways and shops, as well as a working railway, easily connecting you to Maryport and Carlisle and the church of St Kentigern, home to an avenue of yew trees, which leads to the site where a Norman church once stood.
Avid ramblers can don their boots and visit the Lake District National Park, where a network of paths and trails are awaiting to be explored, whilst beachcombers can follow along the picturesque Solway Coast.
Be sure to brush up on the local history with a visit to the National Trust property of Wordsworth House and Garden or spend a tranquil afternoon at Mirehouse & Gardens with park well-worth exploring.

Where to start!
I have already left the owner our feedback on a piece of paper in the kitchen as there was no 'welcome book' to write in. The bungalow is sitting in a row of rotting concrete ruins, with an old static caravan site next to it. There was no instruction manuals or useful information about the bungalow. Firstly the boiler was faulty. It was switched off, so that when we wanted to wash up etc there was no hot water. We found the on switch in the cupboard and switched it on, whereupon it started to drip water and we had to keep bleeding it to keep it working for hot water. No heating at all. We had no control over that and could not make it work. It was locked down and we felt that it was under someone else's control. We collected the water dripping in a bucket which was actually under the drip!! We discovered all of this at 7.30pm on our first night (Wed). We never got the heating to work until Saturday night, when we switched on the electric fire instead. Surprise! After a couple of hours suddenly the heating came on at full blast! But after that it mainly went back into nothing, and our bathroom towels remained cold and damp, hanging on the radiator. The Toilet often didn't flush properly and the fan in the bathroom didn't work at all. The sofas in the living room were saggy and unpleasant to sit on. Our bed was far too hard, one chair for 3 bedrooms?!No hooks or anywhere to hang anything either.The kitchen oven trays, very limited utensils, nasty dirty old plastic chopping boards, a pan stored still with very old food encrusted on it (yuck!) and the filthy oven gloves just needed to go in the bin. (I have photos) No bread board, so I had to buy one in Wigton. We never cooked even though I had brought things to cook - we just got ready meals to put in the oven. The key box outside needs replacing. And as I said, no instructions about the heating, kitchen stuff, bins or anything. We were glad to leave and feel that we should have some of our money refunded! We were staying there to be near and help my brother, who lives in Wigton and is very ill, and to see other friends. We did not have time to mess around contacting anyone about these issues - most or all of which we are sure were already known.
We located the cottage ok as it is next to the Last Mann pub, but no name plate on the cottage walls or gate.
A new key safe is required as this drops out when opening. The kitchen has a micro wave but no casserole dish for general use, only 3 wine glasses but sleeps 6. The settee for watching the television gives no support at all and I had to roll to get off. There are no curtalins in the bedroom just horizontal blinds which are 3 latts too long so do not close properly letting the sun in far too early and I am a light sleeper so once the sun penetrates the room I cannot sleep. No headboard on the bed and the cushions on the chairs outside were very grubby. The furniture in the bedrooms was very good with plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. The location of the cottage is fine with very little through traffic and not too far from some of the tourist attractions.
Lovely bungalow.
Very clean. Extremely comfortable. Both the front garden and the rear patio were very pleasant to sit and relax. The rear also afforded great views towards the sea and the Scottish hills beyond. Well located for the Cumbrian coast and easy access to the Lake District. THANKS FOR A GREAT HOL !!!
