A fabulous, well equipped home from home.

There were 4 adults in our party and the cottage was very spacious, comfortable and clean with some wonderful views. The owner was lovely and very approachable. We would definitely highly recommend to others.

This was a home from home, the owners have gone in to so much detail, even down to eggs tea and coffee being laid on.

The scene from the upstairs window is butiful and you could spend all day looking. Being central we were able to go into the lakes as well as into Carlisle and muncaster castle bird of prey and owel display are worth ssing will stay again.

Had a amazing time at hayloft cottage the cottage was spotless on arrival everything we needed was at the property and plenty of places to go and see definitely be re booking again

This was our fourth stay at Hayloft and we enjoyed every minute.

What a lovely holiday!

The cottage was just amazing, it was definitely the wow factor when we walked in! It was also great to stay on a working farm with a very enthusiastic toddler who loved looking at the tractors driving past every day, and even going to feed the lambs. It is easily accessible by nearby main road and there was plenty of play equipment for our little one. Our hosts were great and very welcoming, we would definitely return one day.

Great place to stay in Lake District.

Great location and the place is very clean, warm, well equipped, quiet and spacious.

Powerful shower with plenty of hot water and the log burner a real treat on cold autumnal evenings. Nice attention to detail from the owners, for example12 place settings for the crockery (all matching!) makes for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended and we will book again.

Fantastic location and views, friendly host, the cottage had everything you would need and then some.

We found the king size bed rather firm and unsupportive for us and the shower very enclosed for a 6ft 2” teenager but will definitely go back. The outside space was brilliant for all the family.

The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners are very welcoming and an added bonus was the glorious weather. We will be back.

Fantastic cottage.

Very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Perfect location too, as you don’t need to travel far to find places to visit in Cumbria and the Lake District. Everything was as described, so it definitely didn’t disappoint. Would recommend this cottage without hesitation.

We had a really enjoyable stay.

There was nothing we would change. The kitchen was really well equipped so made self catering easy. The owner was lovely and it was so nice to find milk and eggs In the fridge. Hope to book again.

What a fantastic property!

, everything was just spot on, even down to the tea bags and milk in the fridge when we arrived. The property had everything we needed, perfectly located for us as not to far to travel to the centre of the lakes but yet quiet enough for us to relax in the quiet tranquil countryside. Thank you

The cottage was perfect for us with young children (1 and 5).

The house itself was very well equipped, important as we would be there a lot especially after the kids were in bed. And the garden was huge and very safe to allow the kids to run around. We were a short drive from the lakes and the seaside which made a lovely varied holiday. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The owner Natalie was very friendly, thanks for the eggs!

This is our second visit to this cottage and it didn't disappoint.

Well presented with lashings of hot water which was very well received after lots of long walks. The cottage is conveniently located near the Lake District National Park, so no long drives back. Thank you to the owners for the farm fresh eggs and milk.

Excellent beautiful cottage, which was very clean.

Well thought out, with stair gate incorporated and lots of toys to keep children entertained. Loved our stay, and would definitely recommend.

We’ve stayed here twice and they have thought of everything which takes so much of the hassle out of going away. It’s perfect for familiesI and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

So clean and well equipped. Great location to explore Lake District. First time booking with Sykes and well impressed.

We had the most lovely time really welcoming.

Very good for little ones, my 2 year old loved watching the farm dogs and machinery from the window. Swings, toys and football was all ace too. Cant wait to come back again very soon.

On arrival the house was well presented, tidy and had a cosy feel about it, the cottage is well placed with lovely views.

The family who own the cottage couldn't have been more accommodating and were friendly and chatty. Our only problem during our whole stay there was the lack of wifi (someone had switched off elsewhere) however this soon became a good thing because it meant the kids actually engaged with us :-)!! Couldn't have asked for a better location to explore the Lake District from and would definitely recommend the place to any other interested parties!
