Had a lovely week at Leesrigg cottage which was exceptionally clean comfortable and well presented.

Even cleared space in their freezer to accommodate my spaniels raw food so massive thank you for that

A lovely cottage with everything you need for a super holiday.

It was very clean and the Easter decorations were a really lovely touch. The start hamper was much appreciated and Pacco (dog) enjoyed his cookies. Thank you Amanda and Graeme.

Leesrigg Cottage was spotlessly clean and wonderfully warm on arrival after a seven hour journey.

The cottage was Christmas cosy, complete with a beautifully decorated real tree! Extremely well equipped with everything we needed including access to extra freezer space in the outbuilding. Great location for exploring the area. Road noise during peak times but otherwise quiet setting. During stormy weather the owners thoughtfully checked in via text to help us prepare for predicted power cuts with torches. Thank you Graeme & Amanda

Leesrigg Cottage was all you could ask for in a holiday cottage.

They were so helpful and friendly and the wood stove was such a bonus even though the cottage was as warm and cosy as could be. Space was found for our bicycles as well. We are going to book again for next year!

This was the second time we have stayed at Leesrigg Cottage, did not disappoint.

Thanks to Greame and Amanda, had a great time everything there that we needed, peace and quiet just as the doctor ordered, a great base for the coast and Lakes. Our dog just loved the garden running around on the grass, or just laying there. We'll be back sometime in the future. Thank you both for a great time again.

The cottage is very clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need.

The location is quiet and the cottage has a lovely garden for when the weather is nice. The owners live next door, but were very discreet and were on hand if we needed them. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage to others.

A lovely warm and cozy cottage set in a quiet location.

We could not fault this accommodation and would highly recommend it. It is remote so if you want to explore the wider area be prepared to travel. We had days out to Carlisle (took the train), Keswick, Mary Port and Cockermouth. The walks from the cottage were great, albeit a little muddy. We did struggle to find pubs that served food and accepted dogs but this was probably due to the time of year. Our thanks to Graham and Amanda for being good hosts.

We had a lovely time at Leesrigg Cottage, Great location, and has everything that's needed.

Clean and well presented, with all mod cons. We were unfortunate to have a 24hour loss of power due to the high winds, but Graeme the owner was on hand with torches, a gas cooker and complimentary wood for the log burner. Couldn't have asked for anything else. Would definitely recommend this cottage and if we go back to the area we would choose Lessrigg again.

A wonderfully appointed property.

Not in the central Lakes area but only 30-40 mins from anywhere we visited. We walked around Ennerdale and Buttermere lakes, visited the Roman museum in Maryport, Cockermouth, Lattrigg Fell and Keswick. Dog friendly and cosy. Highly recommend.

The cottage was exceptionally well fitted and everything worked really well.

It had both radiators in all the rooms as well as a Wood burner. We love the location as it is close to the coast and reasonable driving distances to Keswick , the mountains and lakes. It was a quiet area and away from the touristy places. Amanda and Graeme were very helpful and gave us a lovely welcome gift including dog biscuits and had fresh flowers in the rooms.

Easy to get around the lakes and further north. Hosts live next door and are super helpful. Would recommend to couples and families.

Immaculate and very comfortable. Dog friendly - ours enjoyed running around the garden! Great base for exploring the Lakes - maximum drive time 35 minutes to places such as Keswick, Ennerdale and Ullswater and all through stunning countryside

The cottage is well placed for exploring the coast, the lakes and the Northern Fells. Looking forward to returning in the future.

We had a fabulous week at Leesrigg Cottage.

After a long drive up from the Midlands, we had a very warm welcome from the owner on arrival. The cottage is beautiful with a lovely garden and was the perfect size for myself, my daughter and our two cairn terriers. It was very cosy and comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a self catering holiday. Fantastic location for visting the Lake District and the Cumbrian coast. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definitely stay again.

It is a lovely property & has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We were visiting family over Christmas & the house was decorated beautifully. It is in a good position for visiting the lakes & the coast & we hope for better weather next time we visit to walk in this beautiful part of the country.

We had a really holiday in this cosy, warm and exceptionally clean cottage.

The log burner was lovely on some cold, rainy evenings. We had everything we needed including a nice, safe garden for our dogs to explore. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit this area.

Cottage was excellent, clean with all facilities required. Perfect for our dogs and perfect location for exploring Solway, Eden valley and the lakes. Stairs were a little steep for my disability but the downstairs bedroom was ideal for my needs.

Leesrigg cottage is a beautiful little gem of a place and really felt like a home from home.

It was immaculate and the owners had thought of everything. I loved the little summer house too! The cottage is in an ideal location for accessing local beaches and Keswick.

The cottage was spotless when we arrived, it is beautifully decorated and has everything we needed for a week away. There is a large garden which was great for our dogs. The cottage is ideally placed for visiting the Solway Coast and Western Lake District. Over the last 10 years we have stayed in lots of dog friendly cottages, this one is one of the best we have used.

Superb cottage for 1 to 4 people, Plenty of parking and garden space, Everything you need provided, and very clean and modern, a credit to it's owners Graham and Amanda, who are very helpful.

The cottage's location is perfect, not in the hustle and bustle of the lake district towns, But all easily accessible if required, take a boat trip at Keswick's Derwent water IMO the most scenic of them all, the sea and Carlisle are not far away. A great cottage and area to chill out. Book it, You will enjoy it.

The location was beautiful, the property was homely, and the hosts were lovely! We would love to go back again! The finishing touches were lovely, from checking in on us & leaving treats for our two labradors, it was a wonderful week!

The garden is amazing and the perfect place to relax after a day of walking or exploring local towns. The hosts are great and the location is really handy for visiting lots of different places. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a lovely stay at Lessrigg Cottage and it was the perfect pass to explore the Lake District from.

Everything was very immaculately clean and all the furnishings were high quality making it a very comfortable stay. We particularly loved the beautiful gardens!

We really enjoyed our recent stay to this lovely cottage.

It was really clean and modern, everything we needed was provided. Lovely welcome from the owners who are really helpful and provided lots of added extras. Beautiful kept gardens which were great to sit out in and enjoy the sun. Great walks which our dogs loved and plenty to do to keep the children entertained.

This cottage was perfect for what we wanted: to be outside the busy areas of the Lake District yet close enough to visit some of the local hills with just a short drive.

It is also <10 minutes drive from Aspatria which has shops and a train connection to Carlisle (great bookshop and Castle) and the coast (we'd recommend the coastal path walk from St. Bee's to Whitehaven as a pleasant change from all those hills in the Lake District)

Beautiful cottage, very clean and well presented.

Ideally positioned to explore coast, Lake District and Hadrians Wall areas. Owners were helpful when approached.

Beautifully presented and absolutely spotless, dog friendly cottage with a lovely garden, backing onto a field of cows, which delighted our 10 year old daughter!

There’s ample parking and the owners, who live next door, are very helpful but not invasive, so you’d hardly know they were there. Nice welcome pack with bread, milk etc. Good location within easy reach of various lakes and attractions.

The cottage is really clean and cosy with everything we needed for our stay.

One of the great things about the cottage is a truly amazing garden which my children loved playing in. In the end we had a disappointing holiday due to a car mishap which meant we couldn’t travel into the Lake District as we originally planned. Public transport would normally have been an option but we were reluctant because of Covid. The owners were really helpful and friendly, they found a walk we could do in the immediate area, offered to drive us into Keswick one day and found some outdoor toys to entertain the children in the garden. I would really recommend the cottage and if it wasn’t for the car mishap, I’m sure our holiday would have been great.

We have stayed at several cottages and lodges in the past as this was by far our favourite.

I am a really fussy when it comes to things like cleanliness and this place was immaculate! The owners were extremely helpful and the cottage itself was beautiful. I can not recommend this place enough.

Amanda and Graeme are the perfect hosts, Graeme keeps the grounds very tidy while I’m sure it’s Amanda who looks after the cottage.

This is an excellent cottage in lovely gardens, beautifully equipped and furnished, with practical non-carpeted floors downstairs - ideal for dogs.

The owners live next door, on hand should there be any problems. Ask Amanda if she has eggs available from her hens. Location-wise it is ideal for exploring the northern Lake District, with Carlisle, Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith in easy travelling distance, also the Roman sites further east. We had concerns with the practicality of the wash basins (more stylish than useable) and passed this on to the owners - may not be a problem for other users. We would stay there again.

Ticks every box for us we loved it

The cottage was amazing, clean and comfortable.

It was a home from home everything needed was supplied even basics like tea coffee milk bread. The owners were welcoming and we had a very relaxing 5 days with our teenage daughter's and dog. Would highly recommend this property if you are looking at visiting the Lake district. We drove to different places each day the property is quite central to most tourist attractions. Fantastic holiday had by all.
