What a gem!

A spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable cottage-a perfect place in a peaceful and convenient location. With a comfy bed and good walk in shower (loved the bathroom sheep!), just right for a solo visitor! Hope to return.

Fantastic cottage, had everything that you would need.

Bed was super comfy, the attention to detail was lovely. Welcome pack was a great addition -hosts had even though about our canine companion. Jan and Les are fantastic hosts. Would highly recommend. We hope to be back soon.

A lovely cottage strategically placed north of the Lake District.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Yeat Stoup Cottage. The cottage is tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac, which makes the property very private and quiet. Straight away, we were surprised to see how many freebies we were welcomed with: Tea; coffee; biscuits; and even a bottle of wine! The interior is pleasantly decorated and all of the furnishings are very comfortable. The bedroom, with the blackout blinds was great. It was nice to read through the guest book and see that the owners act on the feedback they are given. The kitchen is small but perfectly adequate and well-equipped for a small couple like ourselves. The bathroom was great, and the shower was fantastic. Whatever soap they used smelled absolutely amazing too. Great Broughton is a relatively unassuming village, but the proximity to Cockermouth means that there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars just down the road. It is actually a great location for hiking, watersports, or shopping in places like Keswick - only 20 minutes away. A great cottage ran by a lovely owner. My partner and I would be more than happy to come back.
