Hayrick Barn

Hayrick Barn is an appealing converted cottage in Hawkshead in the Lake District, combining generous living areas, convenient parking and leafy gardens ideal for families. Enjoying a fantastic rural setting close to Hawkshead’s quaint streets, this three-bedroom retreat lets you experience both peaceful countryside and village life. Begin each day in the practical kitchen, where there is everything on hand for hearty breakfasts and simple suppers after a day out. Later, gather in the sitting room and settle into an easy evening together, making the most of the relaxed space to chat, read or plan tomorrow’s adventures.

When night falls, the king-size bedroom with en-suite walk-in shower room offers extra privacy, while the twin bedroom and adult bunk room ensure everyone has their own space. A family bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms, and with central heating throughout, the cottage feels inviting in every season. Outside, the gardens and patio furniture create a pleasant setting for morning coffee, unhurried lunches or watching the light change over the surrounding countryside. One well-behaved dog is welcome too, so no one needs to be left behind.
