We had a very warm welcome from Sally’s on arrival .

this was our second visit. The cottage ideal for a peacfull holiday lots of lovely walks (Lake District not to far away.Morecame ) Ingleton has most things you would need Co-op /fish /chip shop / pub /cafe .water fall walk is really good Can highly recommend. What a little gem, both cottage and village.

Had no problem finding the property at all. The entrance/exit could be a little tricky as it’s quite narrow & on an incline and is difficult to see any cars coming. However it was a bonus to have private parking. On entering I found everything I needed for my stay and a few extra to- thank you for the wine and chocolates nice touch. The bed was super comfy. Which made it easier to sleep ( with the heatwave) I couldn’t find a fan but for the most part it was fine bc the property is shaded and stayed cool enough. My only niggle was the sofa I found that a little uncomfortable for me but I put it down to the design as it’s a sofa bed. The river can be heard but it’s not intrusive. When in the bedroom it’s bearable audible. The Wheatsheaf in the beautiful village is a nice pub for food as is within walking distance. As is the micropub The OPO BAR if you fancy something different. Whichever way you go there’s a hill into the village but is doable if you take it steady. Thank you Sally and Dave for a fabulous little hideaway. I hope to be back sometime soon.

What a lovely, homely, cosy cottage.

I cannot make one negative comment about it. It was well equipped. Bed was very comfortable & the shower powerful. Lovely area to sit outside or watch the birds coming to the feeder. Very quiet area. Close to Ingleton Waterfalls, which are well worth a visit. Would love to stay again & would recommend it to friends & family. Thank you so much Sally & Dave

Doe Foot Cottage is absolutely fantastic.

The windows from every room overlook the beautiful private garden, it is very close to the fabulous village of Ingleton and my stay there was very comfortable and had all the amenities I required. Book your stay, you will love it.

Lovely clean comfortable cottage in a peaceful location

A very comfortable little cottage with all the comforts that one could wish for. The location could not be better if you are looking for a walking holiday or a visit to the Dales towns and villages. Even the Lake District too is not far away.

We've just enjoyed a great week in this lovely cottage, it suited our needs perfectly, it was clean and comfortable and had a lovely secluded garden where we enjoyed watching the many birds that visited the bird feeders.

The cottage is a great base for exploring the western dales with many lovely walks nearby. Sally and David were very welcoming when we first arrived and kindly advised us on local restaurants and pubs to eat at and places to visit however once we had settled in they left us to enjoy our holiday but were at hand should we have any questions. We highly recommend this cottage for a quiet, relaxing break.

This cottage is in a perfect location with the viaduct as a back drop trees for total privacy and opposite to the waterfall trail only five minute walk to great bakery cafe and several pubs serving pub grub and doing evening quizes this cottage is cosy and welcoming lovely and clean plenty of hot water thanks to Sally and Dave for a great week and for the little extras (wine and chocs )highly recommend here

What an amazing cottage!

It was so comfortable staying at Doe Cottage, we didn’t want to leave. Situated in the perfect location, close enough to all amenities and walks, yet so peaceful and quiet, it was the perfect place to recharge our batteries. The private garden was idyllic- sat on an evening with a glass of wine, listening to the river, and watching wildlife was superb (we had a returning squirrel which was lovely) Everything we needed was provided - making it a home away from home. The cottage was the perfect size, and was spotless. The off road private parking was a huge bonus in a small village too. We received a very warm welcome upon our arrival, and the owners were incredibly helpful, both with information on the local area, but also providing a very thoughtful welcome pack, which was very much appreciated. Thank you Sally and David - we will definitely be returning!

Doefoot cottage is situated in a lovely spot.

.Close to the village centre but secluded in a way. Your own parking space is a bonus to most people. The cottage is well equipped and very homely. This was our second visit over a few years and will probably make a third at some point in the future. Pete and Karen (Derbyshire)

Located in the village, the cottage has all you need for a week away. Locally the Country Harvest good for breakfast and the Wheatsheaf Inn does good pub grub.

Stayed 4 nights and it was lovely.

Quiet, peaceful yet still plenty to see and do. Would definitely stay there again. The Christmas tractor run where about 50 tractors or more came past the doorway was the icing on the cake. Thanks for everything.

The cottage was in an ideal spot, minutes from the centre of Ingleton .

It was decorated lovely, clean and very comfortable, the garden was very relaxing you could only hear the sound of the river, perfect to sit in and have a glass or two of wine. There is a designated parking space outside , which is ideal. The owners were very accommodating when we asked if we could park up early to make the most of the day , we were told we would be able to and go into the cottage as it was ready for us, they had left us biscuits and a bottle of wine. We would highly recommend this property.

A pleasant, comfortable apartment in a quiet and private setting.

The apartment is quite compact, but we did not feel cramped, and it suited us very well for our 3 night stay in March.

Cottage is nicely tucked away from the owners and neighbours to allow privacy.

All essential provisions provided. Lovely presentation and comfortable. Good choices of places to eat/drink out within walking distance. Only a short drive to some beautiful walks on the 3 peaks. Owners are available if you need them but equally respect your privacy to allow you to enjoy your holiday. Would definitely stay here again.

My second time at Doe Foot Cottage, which says it all.

It’s the sort of place you want to come back to time and again. I found plenty to do in the area that I didn’t do last time, but you could easily just come and kick back and relax and not do anything it,s so peaceful here, you don’t here anything other then the sound of the river at the bottom of the garden and the birds. I really like the patio at the back for a glass of wine in the afternoon after a day out (completely private from the main house) The signed allocated parking space on the owners driveway right outside your own front door is a great bonus, as these are a premium in Ingleton. Love the area and the cottage, will definitely book again.

This is our second visit to Doe Foot Cottage and once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage is perfectly situated for exploring The Dales and we found it very warm and cosy in the cold February weather. It is a very tranquil setting with an amazing view of the viaduct and we enjoyed the facilities in Ingleton.

Well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge/diner with doors leading out onto small patio area. We enjoyed our five day stay here and all that the area has to offer! Very friendly and helpful owner. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Doe Foot Cottage is very cozy and private.

It has it’s own garden to sit in and the viaduct behind adds to the character of the place. It is in a perfect spot for the tourist attractions and walking in the Dales. The cottage was very clean and tidy and the welcome pack was appreciated. It is a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Ingleton which were excellent. We would highly recommend the accommodation and will be returning.

The host was very welcoming.

The location , was perfect for exploring the local area .it was very close to restaurant,bars and outside swimming pool . The welcoming gifts was a nice touch . Even probided bird food for the feeding station. Will be returning again really soon .

Second visit to Doe Foot wonderful once again.

Although the cottage and location was good, the photographs on Sykes website need to be updated as they did not portray the cottage correctly.

There was no blind in the kitchen and the settee in the lounge was very uncomfortable. A two seater settee and an armchair would have been more relaxing to come back to after a day out. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and no plumber came round to mend the leaking tap. It would have useful to have an extra chair in the bedroom and a shaving mirror near the sink in the bathroom. Cannot fault the cleanliness of the cottage and there was always hot water. Cutlery and tea towels could do with an upgrade as they were very basic. Unfortunately the garden does not do the cottage any credit which is a shame because the setting is very peaceful and the parking space is definitely a selling point for the cottage.

It is always quiet and peaceful when we stay here, which we really enjoy.

We love sitting in the garden, listening to the birds and to the river flowing past and, we like going back to see our favourite places again and visiting new ones, too.

“Simply Stunning” Doe Foot Cottage has everything.

It’s clean, comfortable, warm and cosy. It’s very well equipped in a fantastic location - just outside the village centre with a river at the bottom of a beautiful garden. Quiet and peaceful for our perfect relaxing stay. Sally and Dave are amazing hosts - very friendly and they only live just next door if there are any problems. Highly recommend.

The cottage was superbly clean and modern but also warm and cosy. The bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful and hot. The location was perfect, a very short walk into the village but quiet and completely private with excellent private parking outside the front door. Lots of great walks directly from the house. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed staying at Doe Foot again and had a lovely, quiet and restful stay, with surprisingly good weather for the time of year.

We have already booked two more holidays here for next year and look forward to coming back to this picturesque area, as we still have more places to visit. The welcome gifts were also much appreciated, as was the cleanliness.

Easy to park along side cottage, with no issues at all. Owners never intrusive. Cottage was ideal for two, with everything you need to cook if that is what you want to do, country harvest is 5mins in car on A65 or a steady walk if you want bring food home or eat there, easy walk to all shops co-op, cafe/pubs etc within ingleton. The falls entrance is just 2 mins from the front door but you would never know because it is so quiet and a must is to go to seasons bakery the pastries, bread etc are lovely you can also eat in/ take out there too worth a look.

I really liked the cottage very comfortable and cosy. Area very quiet and peaceful. Good communication with the owner about key collection. Ingleton is lovely plenty of places to eat and drink and plenty to do in the area. I would definitely book Doe foot cottage again.

What a lovely peaceful cottage just what we needed for a weeks break could have sat all day watching the birds that came into the garden so private the cottage is spotlessly clean with every thing you need we will be booking again loved it and the surrounding area plenty to see

Spotlessly clean and very well equipped.

Charming cottage in pretty village. Very well sited for surrounding countryside and places to visit. We really appreciated the wine, milk and chocolates which were left for us. None of the other properties we visited on this trip did this and although we could provide our own (except milk which doesn't travel well), it did feel very thoughtful. We had a slight problem getting in and had a bit of wait in the garden and exploring the village which was no great hardship. Partly our fault as we did turn up a bit earlier than we had said but given there is a key box, it might be a good idea to pass over the key code earlier in the day once the house is ready.

The village of Ingleton is well served with numerous pubs, restaurants and cafés. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely, peaceful and relaxing holiday.

The only sounds we could hear, were the birds and the river. We enjoyed watching the wildlife through the window and while sitting in the garden. There are lots of places to see and we will be going back again for another stay.

Doe cottage is a great place to stay, centre to all good walking and plenty of good food near by if required.

Cottage was exactly as described and is a beautiful and idyllic setting for a break.

Wonderfully situated with a great feeling of seclusion, the gentle sound of the river, and a host of small birds visiting the small outside patio.

Yet within a short walk from the village shops and the beautiful Ingleton waterfalls. Perfect!

Pack plenty of, extra clothes as no washing machine.

Sally, David and Eddie are so friendly and offered advice on walks etc. The hill into the village was hard work for us being pensioners but the scenery around Ingleton is gorgeous. We recommend Doe Foot cottage to anyone seeking a restful holiday.

We had waited such a long time to come here because of the Covid restrictions, but it was well worth the wait.

Doe Foot is a beautiful cottage - comfortable and spacious, with a lovely view on to the garden. We had a wonderful, peaceful holiday and spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden watching the birds because the weather was so good. There are places of interest within easy reach and as we still have many more places to visit, we want to go again next year.

What a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting.

Very quiet and secluded location only a few minutes walk to the shops, pub, chip shop and Ingleton waterfalls. The cottage was bigger than we thought and was very clean, well stocked and comfortable. It has its own private garden which is full of wildlife including hedgehogs, squirrels and various birds including a family of woodpeckers. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dow Foot Cottage to anyone and we would definitely book again when we visit Ingleton next. Thank you Sally & David, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to see you again in the future.

Great place to stay.

Well equipped and very clean,ideal location

Doe Foot Cottage is a lovely little cottage in a perfect quiet secluded location in a busy village.

The garden is a beautiful sunny spot which had us entertained for hour watching the cheeky squirrels and the abundance of different birds taking advantage of the feeders that are in the garden. The cottage is deceptively big and more than adequate for two people, well equipped kitchen and the bedroom has plenty of storage space and a very comfortable bed. The owners live next door and were most helpful whilst allowing us to enjoy our week without any intrusion. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.

We had a lovely break and really enjoyed the location of the cottage.

When we arrived, bars and restaurants were just starting to close due to covid-19 meaning we couldn't eat or drink out in ingleton, however we still had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay. Sally got in touch before we arrived to confirm the cottage had been fully cleaned with antibac which was reassuring in the current climate. We loved sitting out in the garden and seeing all the wildlife (pheasants, birds, squirrels). We'd definitely visit again!

The cottage was very clean and cosy and an idle spot for exploring the dales, would definitely stop there again.

fantastic perfect and brilliant are just 3 words to describe doe foot cottage its clean and tidy the bed is so comfortable and the back garden is great seeing pheasants and wood peckers on an afternoon is great we would highly recommend this cottage and if we are back in the area we would stop again.

Videos, books and games included. There is a great walk to Clapham about 4 miles away.

Doe Foot cottage was really comfortable and spacious.

Every morning we sat watching all the birds, and a tiny fieldmouse in the garden, while we had our breakfast. The cottage is ideally situated to explore the Dales, Cumbria and Lancashire. We really made the most of this, as we had a week of awful weather.

The cottage is lovely and very cozy.

It has everything we needed, even a Bluetooth speaker (a first for us in a holiday cottage). The hosts David and Sally gave us a very warm welcome and the bread was excellent. The Seasons bakery was the best we encountered on our trip. Ingleton is a great base for exploring the Dales both above and below ground - for some destinations you should have a car, of course. Highlights for us were the winching event at Gaping Gill and a guided tour of Great Douk Cave with the Yorkshire Dale Guides. Although the village center is in easy walking distance from Doe Foot, you hear no cars, just bird song and the two rivers. Parking is provided in front of the entrance. The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail starts around the corner. We would certainly love to stay in Doe Foot again and watch the birds at the feeder on the porch over breakfast before going out on a walk.

Really good position for visiting places Ingletons a great village has everything you might need.Sally a lovely welcoming owner who left us some extras we werent expecting.

Some things need replacing e.

g cutlery and crockery. Everything else was fine. Parking was a bit tight as we have a big car, but we managed it.

Everything was exactly as described.

The cottage was lovely and in an ideal location for travelling around the many interesting and picturesque towns and villages nearby. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance in and around the town, also a good number of shops and local attractions, including the local Ingleton Pottery. The Ingleton Waterfall Trail was just around the corner and was well worth a visit. Sally and David the owners were very helpful and gave us advice on where to visit etc.

Doe foot was very nice and comfortable every thing was nice and clean.

Also there was some wonderful wild life to see just looking out of the windows wood peckers squirrels and lots of different birds very nice owners of Doe foot cottage.

If you go on the waterfall walk be prepared for quit a trek it is about 4.

5 miles fro start to finish. This is in Ingleton just around the corner from the cottage. Good footwear and a rain mac. A beautiful climb and well worth the visit.

A very good welcome pack ,delicious fresh sour dough bread , butter milk tea etc. Sally and David were very welcoming , telling us of good places to eat and different routes to take for walking . Lots of places to eat within walking distance , lots to see and do. We hope to return again some time soon .

Picked the perfect location, wonderful scenic surroundings, we travelled to The Lake District and beyond.

The owner Sally met and greeted us, shown us how central heating worked. Left us a wonderful tasty fresh loaf of bread, milk, butter, tea, coffee, sugar, herbs & spices, bottle of Cava and xmas gift, lovely biscuits.

The owners who live next door were a delight, very helpful, communicated well by text to put or mind at rest on arrival day and could not have done more to make us welcome. Fresh flowers, bread, butter and milk on arrival as well as fully filled bird feeders made us really feel really welcome. There were games and some interesting books about local walks, features, history, landscape and wildlife on the bookshelves. The welcome pack gave all the information we required. This included the bird food to allow us a constant stream of feathered visitors! Such a joy to stay in the cottage with brilliant hosts next door if we needed anything. Ingleton is a great base for the Yorkshire Dales and a thriving village in which to enjoy the evenings. Everyone was so friendly.

The cottage was very well kitted out, with some lovely personal touches like local bread and cakes to welcome us.

The property is attatched to the owners home and although our host was very friendly when we arrived, she then left us to it for our stay, which we greatly appreciated...it felt very private. We would definitely go again and recommend it.
