    “Beautiful location, however the bath mat was mouldy and bath stained, I tries to clean it bit required bleach.”

    Dog poo was also glued in the garden leaving us able to use the garden Unfortunately it is not as advertised yje view from the dining room and bedroom was blocked by a black jeep, and the neighbours walking back and forth infrastructure of the window, as the cottage is actually surrounded by other buildings leaving us personally feeling trapped in without any outdoor space to enjoy. Yhe main bed always Unfortunately also to small for anyone over 6ft.

This superb stone-built semi-detached cottage is situated in Mansergh, an area of lovely wooded hills and valleys about 3 miles up the River Lune from Kirkby Lonsdale.

One half of an old farmhouse, dating back to 1717, Fleshbeck Cottage is truly delightful - full of character and charm.

It boasts many original features including mullion windows, exposed beams, and a working cast iron range in the sitting room.

Visitors will enjoy the pretty cottage garden complete with lawn, flowerbeds, cast iron garden furniture and a BBQ.

Adjacent to a wooded valley, this unique and rather romantic property is an ideal location for a relaxing break.

Note: This cottage is next to Refs. 917 and 9985, and a short distance from Ref. 10255, together they sleep 22.

KIRKBY LONSDALE

Kendal 9 miles.

An attractive market town, Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, midway between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The town was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and holds a 13th century Market Charter. Nowadays, Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive independent shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. The town was also a finalist for the High Street of the Year Award in 2016. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin – his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The medieval Devil’s Bridge spans the river, and the quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year.
