What a super bungalow!
It is a short distance from the main road bypassing the village but still very quiet, with a lovely view over the fields from the lounge and conservatory. We enjoyed two meals at The Swan, only a few minutes’ walk away. The bus stops are opposite The Swan and the bus service was excellent. The bungalow was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen was well-equipped and the knives sharp. We all slept very well in the comfortable beds. Many thanks to Sykes/Lakelovers for their speedy assistance with a problem when we arrived and for reuniting us with forgotten items after we had left. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
We started on a bad note at Lanterns when we discovered that the cleaners had not attended for when we arrived.
However a phone call to Sykes was dealt with well including reimbursement amount for the inconvenience. The cleaners turned up within an hour and we left them to it. The property itself is delightful. Just perfect for our party of five adults, one of whom has mobility problems. The area is quiet, very spacious rooms. Also plenty of outside seating. Ideal.
