“This was a return visit and we really like this apartment.”
However, as with last year, we felt that the cleaning left something to be desired. It seems as though the cleaner cleans the bits he/ she can see but does not go the extra mile. This year the sofa in the sitting room was covered in toast crumbs ( you wouldn’t notice unless inspected properly as it is patterned). We also had to hoover the rug ourselves before being able to start a jigsaw, as the rug was dirty! Neither bedroom had been dusted properly, only a cursory dust along edges etc. In the bathrooms it seemed as though they had been mopped without first being swept, as behind the doors there were patches of wet scum/dust. It is such a shame because it’s such a cosy place to stay with amazing views. These comments would not stop us returning again but it takes the edge off a lovely stay.

Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We do endeavor to make South View as comfortable as possible for our visitors and are naturally very disappointed by your findings. I have spoken to our housekeeper and she will address these matters with our cleaner. On her advice, we have arranged to replace the vacuum cleaner with one which is more flexible and easier to handle. We will also reinstate our periodic inspection visits which we regret have been curtailed this year, due to our personal circumstances, and the pandemic.
If you should return to South View and do not find everything as you (and we) expect, do please contact our housekeeper as soon as possible so that any issues can be promptly address so as not to detract from your stay. Property Owner
