    “Great apartment, very comfortable it's a very good size, perfect for two people, Very well equipped with a great kitchen, everything you could need, bathroom was very nice with a good sized shower, bedroom was a great size with two windows, the bed was comfortable with a good duvet and pillows.”

The kitchen is well-equipped for a short trip, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer, as well as a dining table where you may enjoy a romantic supper for two or a takeaway after a long day.

Retire to the double bedroom, replete with oak furnishings, to rest your house and your possessions when you're ready to sleep. Start your day with a shower before heading out to see all the area has to offer.

When you step outside The Getaway, you'll find yourself in the heart of beautiful Keswick town, with all amenities like as shops, bars, and restaurants within a half-mile, as well as some lovely countryside hikes.

Take some time to see the town's attractions, such as the Derwent Pencil Museum for a unique perspective on WWII pencils, Puzzling Place for interesting optical illusions, and Keswick Adventure Centre for thrilling outdoor activities.

Take a lovely journey to Cockermouth, where you can visit unusual exhibitions at Castlegate House Gallery, see the author William Wordsworth's residence, walk through Cockermouth's History Wall, or have a delightful picnic at Harris Park.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.
