“Unfortunately the maintenance of the property was below expectations.”
The property commanded top price as it looks to be of a very high standard, and I was happy to pay the extra as it looked so lovely. Lots of things were broken, including the main cooker, dvd player, fire, and no hot water to the lovely deep bath. The edging under the cupboards in the kitchen had fallen off and was just lying in the kitchen area, 2 window blinds were broken, a towel rail in the kitchen was broken and one of the large kitchen floor cupboards would not stay shut. The dust bins outside were full to overflowing. I did go to the office mid week with a list of problems, and staff were very polite to me, I was expecting to be contacted so that a maintenance person could at least come and see the problems but I wasn't. However I again spoke to the office personnel when I gave back the key, and they did go out to the property straight away. When I got home I did have an email acknowledging my concerns and giving me a named person who was dealing with the issues. The area is amazing, despite the inclement weather we had a lovely visit. We come to the lakes every year as we love it so much, usually staying in much cheaper properties, but as it is my 60th birthday I thought I would go for something more luxurious, so I was rather disappointed, and would not stay in Wrenville again.
