The property

A charming, recently refurbished sandstone cottage set on a working dairy farm near the market town of Brampton in Cumbria. On the farm there are 20 acres of private ancient woodland, perfect for exploring, bird watching, photography and other activities. There is also 3/4 of a mile of river running through the farm, with associated fishing rights for your enjoyment. Step into the cottage and be welcomed into the delightful, cosy, living dining room, with exposed wooden beams and stone walls along with comfy seating, and a traditional woodburning stove; what better place to sit and relax? The original flagstone flooring takes you to the kitchen which has all the mod cons. However, you may find yourself eschewing the integrated dishwasher in order to watch the calves frolicking in the field whilst you wash up! The beautifully decorated king-size bedroom is cosy and restful, with double doors to the garden. Faraway cottage comes with an extensive private gravelled area, with table and chairs overlooking the open farmland, the perfect spot to enjoy the views, and appreciate the tranquillity. The cottage is in a fantastic secluded location. However, the nearby market town of Brampton is a short drive away, and offers great history as well as an array of cafes, pubs and independent shops for you to enjoy at your leisure. With spectacular scenery on the doorstep, the historic City of Carlisle only ten miles away, and the Lake District an easy drive, you are well placed for an interesting and varied holiday. The cottage offers a fantastic country escape, faraway from life's hustle and bustle.
