    “Terrible experience, misleading on advert, terrible kitchen items, including mouldy plates- tarnished cutlery and chipped glass dishes.”

    no working shower in on suite. washing machine in basement. mattresses possibly the thinnest/ worst we have ever slept on- ignored messages several times, ended up spending over an hour on the phone over the two weeks chasing constantly.

We are sorry that you found contacting the customer relations team difficult, though I can see that all messages were responded to. Please note this does not reflect the owner and the property. The owner will see your views on the bed, but as I am sure you understand, every guest has their own requirements and therefore what suits one person may not suit the other. Our maintenance team did attend regarding the shower and they highlighted that there is a low water pressure in the area. I am glad that our team were able to provide new kitchen items when requested. Please note that the cutlery is silver and so unfortunately this does tarnish easily. This elegant apartment is ideal for families wishing to get together and explore the well-known Lakeland region since it offers unmatched and unsurpassed views of Lake Windermere. After parking off-road, proceed to the third level by way of the common corridor and stairs before entering Lakeshore Penthouse. From the moment you arrive, you'll be astounded by the breathtaking South Lakeland Fells and the unmatched views across the northern end of Lake Windermere. There is plenty of equipment available in the well-equipped kitchen for home cooking, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and even a coffee maker. Explore the lounge, which has carpets on the Indian marble flooring, soft seats, and a sizable dining table that is ideal for meals. The master double bedroom, which is next, has a lakefront outlook and an en suite complete marble bathroom. Lake Windermere is right outside the apartment building's front door, and you can access the lake via a private pier and slipway. There is a great selection of restaurants and bars around, including Ambleside town centre, which is only a short stroll away. Join one of the Windermere steamers that run to Bowness-on-Windermere and Lakeside on a daily schedule for a chance to see the area from a different angle. Whatever you decide to do during your time in The Lake District, the charming Lakehouse Penthouse will make an ideal base for all.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
