    Extremely well stocked with quality kitchen equipment that made self catering easy. Very clean, much appreciated welcome pack and a good supply of basic cleaning products. Beautiful furnishings with comfortable beds, luxurious bathrooms, efficient heating with constant hot water. TV package and tv's in all rooms allowed our mixed party to be catered for on wet evenings. The living area is accessed by numerous steps externally at the back and internally at the front. The level of finish throughout the property is exceptional with great attention to detail. This large apartment has 4 bedrooms, 3 being king-size with en-suite with separate bath and shower and one being a twin with a dedicated shower room. Rossett Holme is one of three exceptional properties owned and managed by one family. These three properties; The Old Village Shop, Old Ambleside House, and Rossett Holme - are all located very close to the centre of Ambleside all are Visit England 4 or 5 star Gold Awarded and offer very high quality accommodation. All are available for full weeks or short breaks at anytime of year (apart from New Year). Accommodation In detail You enter up six external steps into the large open plan kitchen with dining area and main lounge. The kitchen features hi spec appliances including a large American fridge/freezer and the all important wine chiller. The large dining table is perfect for a hearty Cumbrian breakfast or a fine evening meal with friends and family. The kitchen adjoins the sitting room with comfy sofas and chairs with a Smart TV featuring Sky and BT Sports, the perfect room to gather and relax. From the sitting room you step into the hall and through to a cosy second lounge with L shaped sofa along with TV , ideal for a quite moment to read the morning papers, watch the game in peace or relaxing after a busy day walking. There are 4 bedrooms to choose from, all beautifully furnished with a choice of goose & down or non-allergenic duvets, please specify when booking. All bedrooms have TVs along with music equipment. Bedroom one is on the first floor, a spacious king size, also with TV and music equipment and an en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower Up a short flight of stairs to the upper level you have two large bedrooms both with king size beds and TVs. Again both with bath and separate showers. The twin also with a TV. Its bathroom is not en-suite but is a shower room immediately adjacent. Outside is the deck with garden table and chairs, a sun trap during the summer, where you can enjoy a few drinks with family and friends. All in all Rossett Holme is a stunning apartment with touches of luxury to enjoy. Location Rossett Holme is situated as central to Ambleside as is it can be, with access to all of the shopping, restaurants, pubs and amenities. It has 1 on site car parking spot plus one car parking permits for 24/7 parking on the streets immediately adjacent to the property. You can the leave the cars and step out of Rossett Holme for lunch or to enjoy any of the excellent local restaurants for dinner. On the door step you have 2 cinemas with the latest films, and an extensive range of shops, cafes and pubs. At the same time you are no more than 10 minutes walk from the fells. All that and you are less than a mile from Windermere's Waterhead pier where there is the prospect of cruising on the lake. Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
