“Perfect location especially with our baby, to walk into Ambleside in minutes!”
Good sized rooms and lots of appliances to use.
We had an issue when first arriving there was no water, however phoned the number on the information provided and they came to show us the stopcock and we had water again.
There were two dehumidifiers in the property on arrival, and a note for them to be used. We found even with them on and windows on vent we still found moisture inside the rooms and on the patio doors.
Kitchen - had all the appliances we needed, however when cooking, the extractor fan wasn’t doing much causing us to have to open the windows, but even that didn’t help.
Living Room - Great sized space, TV was a bit low down for us, and sofa very uncomfortable (I had to sleep on it a few times as my little one wouldn’t settle).
Bedroom - Again great size, the bed for me was a little hard, but partner slept!
Bathroom - lovely, the shower needed more pressure
In summary - Great location, and you get a car parking spot as this is difficult to find! Would stay again if a few things got sorted.

As new owners we are grateful for your comments. Issue with the shower and cooker hood are fixed and we are planning to replace the settee but delivery times can be up to 6 weeks. The comment on the TV is noted and we will deal with this as soon as possible. Meanwhile the TV is perfectly viewable where it is. Property Owner

About the location
AMBLESIDE
Grasmere 4.4 miles; Windermere 4.7 miles; Keswick 16.7 miles.
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants, and pubs in the village to suit all tastes, including the popular eateries of Misto, Sheila's Cottage, and The Lily Bar. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
