“First 5 nights there was no operating shower.”
I called/emailed the contact numbers numerous times, very poor communication. The repairman left a note saying it needed replacing, but didn't tell me when it would be done. Really disappointing.
First 8 nights - impossible to sleep. Noise from upstairs unit AWFUL - continuous crashing and banging noise to the point of shaking the ceiling, only quiet from 12:30am-5am. I called and emailed, received no help, went upstairs to politely request if the occupants could keep the noise down. Angry man answered, intimidating. Crashing sounds immediately resumed and escalated. Impossible to sleep through, not sure how one family could make so much noise for so many hours without pause. Extremely frustrating.
Biting bugs in bed - throughout the 2 weeks stay, I woke up with bug bites. Fleas? Bed bugs? Not sure but irritating and painful.
So overall, a very expensive and disappointing stay.

We are sorry to learn that you did not enjoy your stay in Ambleside. However, we feel that several of the points raised do not accurately reflect the condition or operation of the property.
For example, regarding the shower. It was not replaced as no fault was found with its operation and you were given written instructions on how to operate it. Clear instructions are also included in the guest information folder along with the Manufacturer?s User Guide.
With respect to your concern about bed bugs or fleas, this is something we treat with the utmost seriousness. As a precaution, we arranged for a professional inspection by a certified pest control company. They found no evidence of infestation.
In relation to the noise from a neighbouring property, we regret that this impacted your stay and are sorry to hear about your experience when addressing it directly. Unfortunately, this is outside of our control, though we fully understand how it may have caused inconvenience.
Finally, you mentioned a lack of support from Lakelovers during your stay. As they manage the property on our behalf, we have asked them to review your concerns and provide further clarification.
With regards to your unpublished allegation that reviews have been removed from our property details, this is totally incorrect and unfounded.
